September 14, 201213 yr 256GB I bet that this is what I will end up on. There are some fantastic deals for the 256GB drives on Newegg. 512GB is probably just overkill and a waste of money. My current Windows 7 installation with EVERYTHING is only 110GB. I already have FSX installed on another so SSD I don't have to worry about that.
September 14, 201213 yr I bet you also have some FSX addons installed in that windows installation? Or even games or something... I have clean windows+programs of it, and that doesn't take 110GB. And if it would lol... what do you have installed, and what are you really using?
September 14, 201213 yr 128GB for windows. No need to throw money around. I know 256GB also performs better according to some tests, nonetheless, the 128GB is marvelous. And it's not even half full yet, although I have almost everything installed. Some audio programs are missing, but they do not take 60GB Wow, I have all my stuff installed and it takes about 500GB ;_; I will get a 240GB SSD but I will keep two HDDs, one for minor programs that don't need to take the SSD's precious space and the other one for storage.
September 14, 201213 yr I didn't say I have all my stuff installed on my C drive. That is where main stuff are kept. The ones where speed really matters. I have another 4 HDDs in the computer beside that SSD.
