September 17, 201213 yr Hello, just saw an old (but good) movie again and am asking what aircraft plata are flying. The english title is All the Way, Boys, the german one: 2 Himmelhunde auf dem Weg zur Hölle and the original title is Più forte, ragazzi. It's a movie with Bud Spencer and Terence Hill. Here is a link to youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gOOFnQ3leE At 1:22:35 you see it from outside. At 1:25:44 you see it again. It's a 2 engine turbopro I think. Would be nice, if someone can say more. Kind regards, Stefan Sondermann
September 17, 201213 yr That one? I'm not that good on the guessing, but I'd say that's a Convair. http://en.wikipedia....r_CV-240_family The more I look, the more I think I'm wrong though. The nose inlet and tailplane shape don't fit. But we're close.
September 17, 201213 yr The one CoolP has a picture (top picture) of is a Hawker Siddeley HS-748. That's the aircraft towards the end of the movie. The opening screen is, of course, a DC-3. That's nearly 2 hours of film, OP. Perhaps giving specific times of the aircraft appearances in question would be a good idea. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
September 17, 201213 yr Yes, I think Zach is closer spot on. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avro_748 Perhaps giving specific times of the aircraft appearances in question would be a good idea. That's what he did. My two shots are from those marks to allow an easier viewing.

Don't know how I missed that! What's scarier is that I scoured the post for the times. Duh! Perhaps a YS-11. The YS-11 is has a similar size (the YS-11 is bigger) and the same RR Dart engines, but the nose section and tail are very different. Focus on the vertical stabilzer and you'll notice the YS-11's is "curved" while the HS-748 is "squared". The radome on the YS-11 is longer as well. Finally, you can count windows and notice cockpit window shape. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
