The United States has officially denied that it has drawn up plans to invade Canada. That is all that the spokesperson for the State Department would admit publically when grilled at today's press conference, noting that any such action would be classified.

 

President Obama has not yet made any direct statement on any proposed military invasion of America's neighbor to the north, in line with White House policy not to comment on possible pending military operations. <_<

Reality is there are no two better friends on the planet then Canada and the United States. They have shared the worlds largest peace time border for centuries now. No two nations on this planet share a friendship and partnership like it.

 

Compare Australia and New Zealand relations and they can learn a thing or two by the Canada/USA example. I will never understand why Australia and New Zealand have a rivalry.

It would more likely be the opposite of that. The French Side (Francophone) would more likely look to the USA for support as they wouldn't be able to afford to be on their own. They would look for trade alliances with things like Hydro, Fresh Water and Softwood Lumber.

 

English Canada (Anglophone) would remain sovereign as they always have. Remember it is the Anglophone that are proudly Canadian and would fight and die for Canada. It is only a small portion of the Francophone population that want to leave.

 

Whenever Anglophone Politicians gets too close to the US that leads to political failure for them. Canada likes being sovereign.

I always figured it would be Mexico that takes over the USA. Reality is more Spanish babies are being born in the USA today then there are white babies. Therefore the Spanish Campaign is working very well so far.

Yes , it's true ..Kiwis & Aussies like to take the ###### out of each other & when it comes to sporting contests between us , it's almost war BUT in reality we are very close in our historical roots , culture & way of life...cousins you might say ...& when the chips are down will always stand shoulder to shoulder to take on a common enemy..

True that...It is when a population develops wealth that they breed less. They prefer the fancy career, the big house and the Mercedes Benz over children.

 

Strange how when Humans are poor they breed, and when they are wealthy and can afford kids the birthrate declines.

Honestly, I believe such a plan has always existed as an 'exercise' of sorts. Both nations are a part of NATO and NORAD and are very aware of each others capabilities.

 

An internal 'What If' scenario has always most likely existed and remains top secret as that would make for bad politics.

This is all great but can someone tell me why my Golden Gate Bridge disappeared in FSX. I'm running KSFO Flightbeam and US Cities X but I still saw the bridge after installing them. A few weeks later it disappeared!

 

Also, tomorrow the Space shuttle (being retired to the Smithsonian) will be transported on top of a 747 from I believe Seattle to S. Cal. Here's the best part...it is to fly at just 1,500 feet above SF between 9-10 am tomorrow!

That's what think tanks are for, looking into the future. I would bet the US has plans to invade pretty much everyone. (including itself through numerous martial law scenarios)

 

Similarly, I would bet the population exchange scenario Vis-à-vis mexico has been looked at for years and was at least part of the impetus for NAFTA, hoping to beef up the Mexican economy so that immigration was less attractive.

Invade Canada? We haven't? News to me. Oh, wait, I have that backward. The Canadians have invaded the U.S. Go to Fort Lauderdale, as just one example, and you can't walk down the street without bumping up against one of the buggers. Half the comedians in Hollywood are Canadians (I know, half of two isn't much, but still...). If I see another Quebec license plate here in central Virginia, I will probably be forced to go buy a weapon of some kind (or rent a Newfie).

 

I see a couple of positives in actually invading Canada... Increase the population of the U.S., thereby doubling the average IQ, and as citizens of the U.S., our Canadian Mafia staff members could all be given clearances and have access to all the secret locations on AVSIM.
