You want a VC...?!?

Recommended Posts

Well, you've (nearly) got one.

Facts about the VC:

- Started out as a WIP from Erick Cantu, but got nearly 100% redone in the process

- Full Tin Mouse panel integration*

- Usability enhancements (door controls, extended lighting controls)

- Wipers!

- Rudder pedals that double as brake pedals (visually)

- More here and there

And this is what it'll wear on the outside:

th_732_FS9.jpg

th_737_almost_zpsb13d8d51.jpg

Facts:

- Made from Erick Cantu's 737-200Adv model published as source files

- Remapped fuselage and engines

- Full body 2048²px textures (FS9 limited to 1024px²) for the above

- Night lighting controllable independently

- NO compatiblity to exisiting repaints

More:

- There's still some things to be done

- Release 29/2/2015

- "True" FSX model to follow (someday)

- Gravel kit model is a future option

- Nightmarish installation

- Paintkit in .xcf (GIMP) formatting

If anyone wants to help out with repaints and/or better textures, give me a shout.

*Sans extras like the CIVA INS or RXP radar or TCAS. These can be integrated by anyone with a texture edit and a panel.cfg mod though.

Looks great! I love this model and glad someone has finally made a VC for it :)

Is it in the downloads section yet?

Wow!!! I'm looking forward to Oct.14. A question: is the VC going to be texturized?

Oh guys...*Chuckle*

(14/10/2021...note: "21". Not "12". As in: "I have no idea when I will be done".)

A question: is the VC going to be texturized?

Yes. I'm just not very good at making them. (Might need some contrast.)

I might just throw out the source files along with the finished model, so anyone can alter the textures more easily if so deisred.

My free time is very limited, but will be happy to have a go on the source files and help with the textures as best as I can, if its needed. But I'm sure your textures will be fine and there's many people on the forum who'd be willing to led a hand too. It is for the TinMouse after all!!

Just dabble with them if you've got time. No pressure, no commitments, no expectations.

I was wondering if that release date was in fact, a typo. It wasn't until I read your later post that I see it wasn't. Well, it's better to have a good/late project than a hurried/bad project.

You're not under a deadline, so keep up the, what looks like, good work.

A word of warning beforehand: The F/O caution panel WILL be backwards. Gauge limitation.

I can't stand "Is it done? Is it done?" inquiries, so better have a mock release date* out to defy any hope to a planned project progression.

*But you're right, I should've picked 2019 or 2032. 2021 can be mistaken for a typo too easily.

OK - Will be happy to!

Feel free to send me a PM whenever they're ready for dabbling ^_^

I can correct the 2021 in your opening post if want

Just let me know what year you want instead - 2019, 2022, 2032, etc...

I suggest 2017 - its the year during which NASA is hoping to conduct the maiden flight of its new Space Launch System, which if successful, would be the replacement for their retired Space Shuttles.

(As if this is going to be accomplished on time.)

But wait, I've got an idea...make it 29/2/2015. :>

OK, will wait for the public release (if that's what you mean?) and then dabble in the textures

Here's a release candidate:

http://www.mediafire.com/?ahwuncf11wf8he3

Includes two repaints, a broken panel.cfg for the SP177 autopilot (anyone wanna fix this?) and the paintkit.

Everything else should work (if not, well, it's a RC...).

READ THE README (or face execution)!!

Have a nice weekend.
