Question When Alt+Tabbing In FSX

On FSX, I wanted to play another game so I could pass by the time on my international flights, so I unchecked the box saying, "pause on task switch." After I did that, I found out that I can't hear FSX's sound when I alt+tab out of it. I was wondering how can I hear FSX's sound while I play another game?

No, I don't believe there's a way. Alt+tabbing is buggy in FSX anyway. I always Alt+Enter to put it in window mode instead, but even in Window mode, once you make any other window active, you lose the sounds from FSX. You still fly, and can see yourself flying if you leave part of that window visible.

Alt+Tab is buggy in dx9...turn on dx10 in fsx and alt tab works perfectly

Soundstream does the trick. I use it for the same reason and more, but it's not free...

Yeah soundstream indeed, I got it some time ago and it works very well.

I am a student and can't pay fifteen dollars for a small module, is there is free way to hear sound?
