EHSI & compass misalignment

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I can't understand a very strange behaviour of the EHSI: I have a misalignment between compass and EHSI heading of 30-40 degrees.

If I'm fliying heading 360° (on compass and on FSX Maps) in my EHSI "12 hours position" I see, for example, 320°.

Everything works but this misalignemnt is very annoying while, for example, you're trying to intercept a VOR radial because you haven't ad immediate awareness of where you're flying compared to VOR radial.

Is there a way to fix this problem?

Thanks

I found the problem and I guess this is a little bug. If you change the aircraft heading using the slew function BEFORE powering-up the avionics you'll get a misalignment. If you slew after power up avionics everything is ok!

If you push the "D" key, does it correct itself?

No, I've tried it but it didn't work. Unfortunately, the only way I found is to power up EHSI before slewing the airplane
