Can I please ask a question? On the FranceVFR site they offer France VFR and France Photo HD. Am I correct to assume that the FranceVFR has autogen and France Photo HD does not have autogen? Are there other differences?

That's about right. But the autogen by FranceVFR is done extreemly well, with accurately placed buildings and trees, roads, extra 3d models, animations. Only a few regions have gotten this treatment but in my opinion they are well worth it if you plan to fly in that region a lot.

 

It seems 50% off applies to FS2004, 30% off to their FSX line.

If I were to buy, I'd go for the VFR with autogen. I'd love to have all of France VFR in FSX. It's a beautiful country and we've spent many vacations there. B)

Just wondering...if I were to buy the Chambery airport scenery, what is the larger-area coverage product I shoiuld also get to fill in the surrounding region. Alps Nord?

Hello all, does anybody here know, can I install a FranceVFR area (here "Alsace") on top of the FS Genesis mesh I have installed for the whole country already? Is that okay or will the meshes conflict?

Yes I think you should be able to do that, FSX should automatically pick up the higher quality mesh which is FranceVFR one.
