October 12, 201213 yr I am experiencing out of control shaking with Track IR with the newest beta. Everything goes back to normal when I access the Opus configure menu. Just as an FYI.....
October 12, 201213 yr Also having a new issue with the weather, I think mostly when switching airports.... I get a P3D error saying that It can't load the weather theme and it just loads the default P3D weather which is scattered clouds.... Restarting Opus fixes the problem. Again FYI
October 13, 201213 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the feedback. We did change the TIR settings quite a lot in 2.27 which meant you would have to retune your TrackIR settings again. Regarding your P3D weather error, is it possible you are using a theme that doesn't exist anymore with your saved flight? We got rid of our Opus static themes in a previous version.
October 13, 201213 yr Commercial Member At present your preferred TIR settings are only sent to the interface when a camera view is selected, e.g. The default VC view for your aircraft. Until then there are no settings for the interface to use. We will correct this very soon. I have also announced that I will be putting the OpusWeather file back into the sims themes folder to prevent people getting further theme loading errors. It was removed in prep for another upgrade but we have a different method now so I will put it back. The historic weather option will be available very soon along with some interesting options for those systems still experiencing any wind shifts at high altitude. You may like to check out our Coming Soon topic on our Flight1 forum. We will probably make a start on it tomorrow seeing as the weather is awfull. Regards Stephen
October 13, 201213 yr NO problem, glad to help, you guys are so responsive! I did eventually play around with the new Track IR settings to adjust it to my liking, and it seems to be working fine now. Nonetheless there was uncontrollable shaking that went away just but entering the configuration menu and changing nothing else. As for the "weather theme" issue, it looks as if I'm not the only person with the issue and I never use weather themes. In P3D my setting has always been custom, and in Opus I have always used live weather. Actually I had changed nothing, just went to a different location, and p3d froze and eventually the error message came up. This happened a couple of times. I had to close Opus and restart it without changing anything to make it work again.
October 13, 201213 yr Actually Track IR won't even work until I go into the configure menu. I don't have to change anything, just access the menu and it starts working.
October 13, 201213 yr Commercial Member As I have said, the TrackIR settings issue will be fixed tomorrow along with the theme error. It seems when you load a flight the sim looks for the last theme to load even though you hadn't selected one it is looking for the OpusWeather file and reports an error after failing to find it. It will be back from tomorrow onwards (next beta). Happy flying to you all. Regards Stephen
