October 15, 201213 yr To change the time of day in Aerofly, edit the file scenery-suisse.tmc <[float64][time_of_day][0.55]> The default value of 0.55 means its afternoon, and raising the number will make it later in the day. October 28, 201213 yr Hi HiFlyer, Just tried to reset the TOD in the suisse.tmc file, but I can only find the following line near the bottom of the file: [float64][default_time][0.55]> I tried changing this and and restarting Aerofly FS, but it seems to make no difference (what should it actually do?). I have checked the clock on the Cesnna 172, but it still shows the time starting at 11:42.00 when loading. Just to confirm, I am running ver. 1.0.0.9 Any idea's as there only appears to be the one suisse.tmc file in my Aerofy FS directories. Thanks, Dave (ddkeo)

Thanks, Dave (ddkeo) Its not in the directory where your sim is actually installed. Try looking in your Documents / aerofly FS / config directory and look for "scenery-suisse.tmc". Its guaranteed you will gape at how gorgeous the clouds can look as the sun sets....... We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... October 28, 201213 yr Ah, I forgot to look there! ( I should have known that with all the other flightsims that I have!) Many thanks for your speedy reply. Regards, Dave (ddkeo)
October 30, 201213 yr HiFlyer, You were so right about the sunset.......!! Just for info for everyone the time is based on a 24 hour clock, so to set it to say 18.00 hrs it would be 0.75 (18.00 divided by 24 = 0.75). Don't forget that this is a decimal calculation not hours and minutes, so for 18:30 hrs for example you would need to divide 18.5 by 24 = 0.77 (not 18.3 divided by 24 which would be 0.76 and give a time of 18:18 hrs!). If you also want to set the lcd clock on the Cessna 172 (and others if they have a clock) then you can do this by changing the [initialValue][42124.0] in the relevant aircraft .tmd file. The default value is 42124 which is 11:42 hrs (don't ask me why they chose this time as it doesn't tie up with the default TOD which is 13:20hrs) and the value is the number of seconds from 12:00 midnight, so to set it to 18:00 hrs the value would be [initialValue][64800.0] If you set the TOD to about 22:00 hrs you will get a nice moonlit scene, with not a scrap of light polution in sight. Not easy to fly VFR though, but it can be done (shame we don't have a Lysander to practice with!) Have fun and like HiFlyer say's "Its guaranteed you will gape at how gorgeous the clouds can look as the sun sets......." Dave (ddkeo)
