Assigning 'viewpoint' to Saitek Yoke switches

Featured Replies

I am not sure of the correct terminology - where we shift our 'eye point' up and down, forwards and backwards, and left and right. I'd like to assign those to my Saitek Yoke buttons, the ones that go left-right, up-down, etc, on top of the yoke handles.

I can do it using EZdoc, but I've fallen out with Ezdoc and no longer use it, so is there a way to get that functionality by assigning switches, perhaps in FSUIPC, but to which variables?

Many thanks,

Phil

The commands are the Pan commands...

One of the documents that comes with fsuipc describes how to set it up 'properly' so that you have the best panning.

The document you want is the 'FSUIPC UserGuide' and page 33 specifically.

You can duplicate the settings described by using the UI, but it's probably easier to edit the ini file rather than trying to work out the correct settings for button repeat and release.

Via FSUIPC:

1. go to "button + switches" tab

2. press button on yoke

3. Check on the right "select for FS control"

4. under "control sent when button pressed" select desired view(use "pan up", "pan down", "pan right" and "pan left")

5. check "control to repeat while held"

6. repet for all view comands/directions and press ok

Thank you but no, I do not mean panning; I use TrackIR for that.

I just want to move my eyepoint up, down, left right and also in and out, as we can in EZdoc.

Like if the seat was capable of elevation and depression.

My move eyepoint left and move eyepoint right etc, when I assign a joystick button, it 'twitches' as if it is trying to move but something prevents it,

Why is that :-(

Thankls,
