October 20, 201213 yr I am considering the purchase of the PMDG J41 because I am becoming more and more happy with just short 30m-1h flights, and figured the J41 would be quite perfect for such a role. So, now I am curious on a few questions in comparison with the PMDG 737NGX. I get approximately 18FPS with no stutters when using the NGX, what can I expect with the J41? The livery manager is my primarily used method of getting new liveries, can I use it for the J41, or must I use the method in which you add to the aircraft.cfg and copy multiple files? -Thanks, I felt as though I would get a quicker response if I post here as opposed to the TURBOPROPS section. -Jeremy Chesney Regards, Jeremy Chesney
October 20, 201213 yr The FPS is about the same as the NGX for me. The NGX is a further development from the J41 and I think PMDG got more efficient, but at the same time it's a more complex aircraft. I fly both locked at 20fps, I can't really get more than that with other addons. There is no livery manager, but there are not many liveries so it's not a problem. Most liveries are installed by an exe except for user liveries. It's an awesome plane and very enjoyable flights low enough to see the ground and some crazy weather you sometimes need to cruise through, the max alt is 25k feet. Landings are alot of fun, don't come down too fast or too high or you won't come down at all!

October 20, 201213 yr Commercial Member If you have issues with performance we do have a performance manager that you can use to do things like disabling the FO side displays, using lower resolution models and textures etc. I think you'll be fine with it. October 20, 201213 yr Yeah, the performance is very slightly less than that of the NGX. But the difference is marginal on the systems I have tried it on. If youre able to run the NGX at an acceptable rate then you should be able to get the JS41 to work as well vatsim s3
