October 24, 201213 yr I've just purchased and downloaded a Wilco Citation x for FS2004 and after much trial and error have succeeded in configuring it for an alarm free flight. Considering its ultra high performance, it's a very pleasant aircraft to fly. However no matter how I load a flight plan or set any of the three positions before or after alignment, I cannot set an initial heading. The heading set knob on the pedestal remains stubbornly inoperative and the HSI on PFD displays a big red X and a heading failure indication. I'm told that if you load the Citation onto FS2004 with the engines already running this problem does not occur, but part of the attraction of the Wilco aircraft is sequencing cold and dark starts and using the FMC. I suspect that the problem possibly lies in loading the initial position, but can anybody provide a definitive fix? Bruce Dwyer

October 26, 201213 yr Author Thanks much appreciated. I haven't been able to open the tiny PDF file that came with the download as I cannot locate a converter program. Two further questions if I may: Do you set the pos init before or after the IRS alignment? Which of the three initial positions provided do you select? Bruce
