The Rocky Mountains in all their splendor

Featured Replies

The Rocky Mountains taken from two different locations. The first set, with the turbine Duke, are in the southern Rockies in southwest Colorado. The second set with the King Air, in and around Glacier National Park in Montana. Both sets used Tileproxy to generate the scenery. Enjoy!

I enjoy flying around the mountains. There's some great areas in the Rockies to explore. The Swiss Alps are another great area to fly through, but Tileproxy doesn't cover that area well. Microsoft's default scenery and mesh are pretty good there in FSX. One area I wish Microsoft would have had better mesh is around Guilin, in China. Some great scenery there--one place I haven't been to that I hope to visit, someday.

Fantastic shot John!! I love mountain flying myself until you run across a dead end canyon in a 172 and no room to turn.
