**Dell Inspiron 580 CPU Upgrade?**

Hello. I have a Dell Inspiron 580 with a dual core Intel 3.2ghz processor. I would like to upgrade to the best possible CPU that will work with the motherboard. Does anybody know what the best CPU is that will work? I already have a 700w supply installed and 8gb DDr3 ram. I am also running a GeForce GTX550Ti video card. Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated!

You should put in the motherboard model , that would help the members. But I doubt you put in an i5 on that board.

I believe the motherboard may be a 033FF6? I believe the current CPU on it is an i3?

I was told that the motherboard has an 1156 CPU socket and the best processor it will handle is an i5. Does this sound correct?
