windows 8 and fsx?

does windows 8 work with fsx whenever I try to load it the screen comes up with this fatal error occurred I want to run fsx PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

works no problems for me. what are the details of the fatal error?

i found i had crashes relating to UIAutomationCore.dll and so i copied an older version from Windows Vista into the Flight Simulator X folder and the problem went away

You need to download and run App Crash View - http://www.nirsoft.n...crash_view.html and let us know what caused the crash. Simply copy the error report and paste it into this post. You need to also post your system specs. You can list them in your response or go to your profile and click on My PC and fill out the system specs there. They will then show up in the sidebar under "My PC". You should only have FSX with SP1 at most installed. If you have more than that installed, they you did not install FSX properly. FSX should be installed first, then run FSX for the first time, make sure it is working then install SP1. Run FSX and make sure it is running. Then install SP2 OR Acceleration (not both). That will complete the installation.

I've had issues with FTX and the objectflow_xyz.dll's in the dll.xml file, causing fsx to crash to desktop if you alt/enter (win 8 pro x64).. other than that, win 8 gives me pretty stellar performance.. very slightly better than Windows 7 x64 in fact.
