Is that a bug?

Recommended Posts

Hello guys!

I've started my flight with a high CI value, witch gave me a CRZ speed of 0.80M.

After a while, i wish to reduce that speed a bit, so i set a lower CI value, during the flight.

Notice that all the aircraft system (FMC, speed bug etc...) update the speed to a lower value of 0.796M but the PFD target speed still shows 0.80M.

Am i doing something wrong?

PFD shows information with only 2 decimals; if you choose for example 0.794, the PFD (magenta color) will show 0.79

There is simialr thing that happens in the real plane that nobody can explain to me. It only happens in descent. You will have a descent speed of 290 knots set in the FMC for example but the speed displayed on the PFD is 289. One knot below what is in the FMC. It doesn't always happen but it is not uncommon either and it is always only one knot less. Most of us are aware it happens but nobody anywhere can explain whiy it does that.
