Info about Orcas Island, WA scenery??

Featured Replies

I remember seeing information about a Orcas Island scenery done by the same guy who did Emma Field and the GeoRender series but published through a different vender some time back.I have forgotten who the publisher was. Can anyone direct me to this scenery? Also, if someone has it I would like to hear (read) their impressions. If I remember right the screenshots look really good... but then his stuff always does. (OK... I'll admit it... can't think of his name at the moment and too tired & lazy to go look for it. ;))Thanks for any info! :)

I agree that the Orcas Island scenery is great. I spent some time last Spring watching traffic at the real Orcas Island airport, and FS-Addon's version is spot on (of the airport and the island itself). The textures are excellent and very crisp, and there are some nice animated objects here and there (without being overdone). They also have a support forum with lots of tweaks and tips for the scenery.

I think it's an excellent scenery. The airport is very well done with lots of details and animations. The surrounding island look OK though the textures are a bit blurry and autogen is a little sparse.

Rick,That is exactly what I needed, thanks! :)I got it purchased, downloaded, installed, & some testing last night. By that time I was so tired I didn't think to thank you. :-roll I'm very happy with it.

Jimmy,I was born & raised in Washington but I have never actually been to Orcas Island. Oh... I've been by it in a boat but never on the island. I have seen pictures of the Diamond Point strip and GeoRender3 is an exact match. I've been through Forks a bunch of times but not for over 20 years now... all I can say about GeoRender5 is that the area looks pretty much as I remember it... that and that I very much like the scenery. Thanks for confirming that the Orcas scenery is accurate. :)

Jimmi,As you know I have RealScene 2004 mesh & landclass along with USA Roads. Those islands aleardy looked spectacular... now they (the close ones) look even better. :)Thanks for the input!
