November 22, 201213 yr Ok, not that small. Some 300ft of height for the hub. So you really have a huge park there, huh? A friend of mine was hired for those offshore setups. He said they are looking for engineers all the time and their books are full for the next decade to come.
November 22, 201213 yr Yeah they're huge. Spread over 2,000 acres or so. I believe they need a separation of 50 acres or so. I'm not exactly sure of all the technical stuff. Randy Swofford
November 22, 201213 yr Moderator Very funny second attempt Hook! Looks like you'll need to go fishing elsewhere, it's pretty quiet around here! It is pretty amusing that when using the chemical name for water so many folks panic! :fool: Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
November 22, 201213 yr <p>Hmm, I always wondered why it was so windy in the Netherlands, but now I know it! Its that damn windmills we have everywhere. They started this ###### in the middle ages already! Now thats a conspiracy. On the contrails: I bet they spray WD40 to get thos windmills going. EDIT: added proof: In WD40 colors:
November 22, 201213 yr Brilliant satire! I salute you, sir. H Would I be right in guesing that theses dinners would involve baked beans and brussels sprouts? November 23, 201213 yr I'm renaming this thread to 'Chemtrails comedy and a whole lot of wind!'.......
November 24, 201213 yr Stratospheric Welsbach seeding for reduction of global warming http://www.google.co...tents/US5003186 Quote, "The greenhouse gases are typically in the earth's stratosphere at an altitude of seven to thirteen kilometers. This suggests that the particle seeding should be done at an altitude on the order of 10 kilometers. The particles may be seeded by dispersal from seeding aircraft; one exemplary technique may be via the jet fuel as suggested by prior work regarding the metallic particles. Once the tiny particles have been dispersed into the atmosphere, the particles may remain in suspension for up to one year." You are aware that the only thing a patent means is that someone had an idea and took the trouble to write it down? The existence of a patent doesn't mean an idea actually works, never mind that anyone is actually using it. It is pretty amusing that when using the chemical name for water so many folks panic! :fool: Well DHMO is the major visible component of contrails John-Alan Pascoe

November 25, 201213 yr Just showing that it's not all wacky conspiracy, as the OP would have you believe. November 25, 201213 yr "I could bet they spray some chemicals on people which later complain. " They did...... It was known as Agent Orange, and they didn't complain. That is, until they found out it caused some of them to get cancer. Our "Government" was the one who sprayed them with it in Viet Nam, and denied their spray was the cause of those Veterans health problems. Something very similar happened in the '91 Gulf War too... As far as Chem Trails goes, there are chemicals used to mask infra-red signatures. Tanks use smoke grenedes and they inject chems into their exhaust to hide from thermal imagers. The same thing is also done for military aircraft. JP-8 isn't the same as Jet-A. Now what other things could they be doing, without telling us??? Now I am not a conspiracy theory person, But, I don't exactly trust our "Government" either... I have seen too many lies over the years to think they can be trusted. Raptor
November 25, 201213 yr It was known as Agent Orange, and they didn't complain. That is, until they found out it caused some of them to get cancer. Agent orange wasn't a conspiracy. It cause birth defects, similar to Thalidomide, and for largely the same reason: lack of proper testing. Tanks use smoke grenedes and they inject chems into their exhaust to hide from thermal imagers. This ex-tanker is giggling. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
November 25, 201213 yr The same thing is also done for military aircraft. JP-8 isn't the same as Jet-A. I used to Pump JP-8 and the only thing we added to the Jet-A was a tiny quantity of a de-icer and an antimicrobial agent. So JP-8 is 99.99% Jet-A Chris Miller
November 25, 201213 yr Agent orange wasn't a conspiracy. It cause birth defects, similar to Thalidomide, and for largely the same reason: lack of proper testing. Perhaps, but lack of proper testing isn't justification for what happened to them. Our rush for bigger and better things often gets us in trouble, when we rush a product to market. But the "conspiracy" came in the aftermath, when the Federal Government did deny that it did expose them to a cancer causing chemical. The VA denied medical benefits on the grounds that there was nothing wrong with Agent Orange when there was clear evidence to the contrary in the medical community. This av mech is giggling too... Most don't realize there are things in JP that aren't in that commercial stuff... Raptor I used to Pump JP-8 and the only thing we added to the Jet-A was a tiny quantity of a de-icer and an antimicrobial agent. So JP-8 is 99.99% Jet-A Might not be directly in the fuel either...
