Thoughts on a new PC

Recommended Posts

I am about to pull the trigger on either of these PCs. I would appreciate your thoughts on which is the better deal. The difference in price between the AMD and the Intel is that the Intel is $100 more.

After looking at the information on cpubenchmark there isn't a significant improvement in the 3570k over the 8120. ( At least from the figures I saw) I am not sure how this will translate to using FSX. I appreciate the push toward the Intel but is there any particular reason why?

A big reason ! Intel's IPC is higher, FSX needs pure juice. + single threaded performance is better.

Intel has got much better single-threading performance, which will make a huge difference in FSX.

Also, consider upping the GPU too. The 620 is too low.

Ok thanks folks. I will keep this in mind. I am not in the US so I have to take some other factors in before I order ( shipping and customs )

Thanks again!
