Which FSDT airport to choose?

Featured Replies

Well given how little new information there is on future payware aircraft releases(e.g. PMDG, FSLabs) I've decided to blow US$200 on all the FSDT sceneries except Zurich (I'll get the Aerosoft one later) and XPOI. That's my whole budget for the Christmas+new year period.

Is Helsinki download released yet?

Isn't Helsinki one of the Mega Airports from Aerosoft?

When Registering the Srl number it said, it has backed up the key file in the "home" folder and to use it for re installing.

How is this key file named? and where is the "home" folder so I can back it up?

Any ideas?

F1 key files are *.key. Not sure of the FSDT key files.

Today it's LAX and GSX for me and that will complete my FSDT collection. Was thinking of Flightbeam KPHX but that was only 30% and as you know today is a day of sales so 40% wins out.

I'll tell ya, the add-on I use the most from FSTD is actually XPOI. Superb product I take with me whenever I explore.

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

I see the registration info in C:\Users\<Your Name> They have the name of the airport and end with .reg. If this is incorrect someone please correct me.

First of all, thanks for the heads up on the sale, totally missed it.

Secondly, I'd go with DFW, I am totally in love with it. If you are an American Airline freak like myself, then definitely DFW, a major hub. Also, it lies directly in the center of the US, which makes it an easy transition point to other airports on the different coasts Albeit a bit of congestion, especially during Christmas seasons.

WS.Reputation.1 is a detection for files that have a low reputation score based on analyzing data from Symantec’s community of users and therefore are likely to be security risks. Detections of this type are based on Symantec’s reputation-based security technology. Because this detection is based on a reputation score, it does not represent a specific class of threat like adware or spyware, but instead applies to all threat categories.

The reputation-based system uses "the wisdom of crowds" (Symantec’s tens of millions of end users) connected to cloud-based intelligence to compute a reputation score for an application, and in the process identify malicious software in an entirely new way beyond traditional signatures and behavior-based detection techniques.

Where's the 30% off coupon for Flightbeam KPHX?

I would turn the av off for the time of downloading and installing. This happens on a lot of modern installers, Flight1 comes to my mind. No need to worry as this is very likely a false positive. Norton heuristics.

So perhaps disable Norton, load and install, and enable it again. Should work.

The reputation-based system uses "the wisdom of crowds"

I like that sentence. A lot.

I just picked up the Hawaii Airports Volume 1 & 2 & GSX on this sale, completing my US scenery collection from FSDT. I would recommend them all, although LAS and LAX stand out the most to me.

Am I supposed to put my overly priced and powered computer specs here? Sorry, I must have no tolerance for idiots who do that.

So when's the PMDG 777x gonna' be released?

Sorry you got your hopes up..But hey..Look on the bright side...It's not for FSX..

Back with news. I found the automatically removed FSDT downloads from the quarantine and returned them, added couatl.exe to the trusted list and all seems to be fine.

Wisdom of crowds, yeah.

That's good news. Enjoy those new airports of yours. The crowds love them. ^_^

I've pulled the trigger on LAS, JFK, DFW and SFO and PHX. Great weekend ahead. :D
