November 23, 201213 yr Recently did a reinstall of Windows 7 (because Windows 8 is terrible!) Installed my unwrapped version of Opus (back in August) Uninstalled it again without deleting the c:\opusfsx directory Installed the Upgrade to 2.50.6 Mode of operation is still Demonstration Mode; I've copied the .key and .lic file to c:\opusfsx Where should I put it? November 23, 201213 yr Author Got it going again, didn't know how complicated, and anonying this wrapper system is, I guess it is one way to fight against piracy...but it just makes things harder for the end user. Ended up having to request another license file from Flight1. Couldn't remember my 'assigned' password (credit card last 4 digits didn't work) and panicked when it said I have limited tries. Ended up using the Flight1 login/password. Redownloaded the Flight1.Purchase exe; I am assuming all subsequent reinstalls I need a new licence key and I should install with the 'wrapped' software or can I use the unwrapped C:\Opus Software\ install file? Can I now delete C:\Opus Software or move it to my external HD? Soarbywire - Avionics Engineering
November 23, 201213 yr Commercial Member You must unwrap the Flight1 purchase file on your C drive. You can move the msi to another location but must leave the licence and key files on drive C in the C:\Opus Software folder. Cheryl
November 23, 201213 yr Author Hi Cheryl, the only files I can find in the Opus Software directory is OpusFSX.lic and OpusFSX.exe (install file). Soarbywire - Avionics Engineering
November 23, 201213 yr The license file is your safe check on your computer to have unlimited operation. All you need to do is run the OPUSFSX.exe(msi) and it will install everthing into an OPUSFSX folder in the C:/ drive. So you should have two OPUS folders now. OPUSSoftware and OPUSFSX.
