November 29, 201213 yr As title, totally new on this, just looking for a rough reference. Thanks in advance.
November 29, 201213 yr Multi monitor setups usually take off about 30% of performance when directly compared to single screen in the same scenario.

Thanks for that warning I will be happy w/ my single screen... The new VR headsets are the direction this needs to go. High resolution in full wide format, 3D, low impact on performance, and a solution for keyboard control. Combine that w/ a TrackIR functionality and this could spell the true end of the move towards bigger and more resource hungry (manufacture & energy to power) disenplays people seem to be enamored with here. I know when I went from 22" to 24" that was as much as I could stomach! At 1920x1200 I enjoy plenty of visual field width since I keep the display closer to me than one might a 30" or 37" display. November 30, 201213 yr 30% each extra screen? ~15% per screen.... So with a triple display setup, you will loose 30%.... Trust me, I had three monitors last year and performance was abysmal.
November 30, 201213 yr I have 3 monitors and I am totally happy. If you have Ivy Bridge processor with atlaeast 4.5Ghz OCed and a GTX670 FTW or better you should be good Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
November 30, 201213 yr Depends on what you going to use the extra screen for. I just use it for popups like FMC, overhead, radios etc to keep my VC clear (mostly flying the PMDG B737NGX) and the impact is hardly noticeble. Johnny Holmgren Johnny Holmgren

November 30, 201213 yr I suspect it depends on how the three monitors are configured. I use TH2GO with three 22" monitors (3x1680x1050) for a total resolution of 5040x1050 with no loss of FPS. My frame rate is locked at 30 and will fluctuate downwards depending on the complexity of scenery, weather, aircraft, etc., but when I get 30 with one monitor in full-screen mode, I also get 30 with three monitors in full-screen mode. I've tested this on numerous occasions while using only one monitor for making videos. Other users I've consulted before purchasing TH2GO almost two years ago confirmed the little impact of TH2GO on FPSs. I use an i7-2700K OC'd at 4.8 with a GeForce GTX 580 CLASSIFIED.
