December 28, 201411 yr Greg, what GPU are you using and what is the result your trying to accomplish? Seems odd you would want to drag three separate windowed views to each monitor. Would you rather span the VC across all three monitors as one view? Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?
December 28, 201411 yr PWJT8D, I have a GeoForce GTX 680 graphics card. When I try to widen the window from my main monitor to the others, the right side is black and the cockpit appears on the left monitor and half of the main monitor. -Greg
December 28, 201411 yr With no windows or programs open or running, enter your NVIDIA Control Panel and enable NVIDIA Surround. This will turn your three monitors into one big one. After Surround is enabled, you'll see a drop-down of resolutions, in there you'll see a resolution that will say (bezel corrected) - use that one. Now in your fsx.cfg you'll find a line that says WideViewAspect=False. Change that to True and then save. Enter fsx and press Alt+Enter to enable full screen mode and now it should span all three monitors and adjust the zoom to your liking when in the VC Is it done yet? When will it be released? April 7, 201610 yr Hi I am a newbie at this and seem to be having the same sort of problems as you guys, I have FSX Gold+Acceleration running on three acer monitors, I have them all lined up nicely i have moved the eye position so it is just in front of head rest, about where head would be, I have done the fix on C:\Users\Steve\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX, WideViewAspect=True which has shrunk the cockpit so it is now across three monitors but covers a lot of the view. Any help would be much appreciated and can you tell me about EZDOC? Thanks Peter

April 7, 201610 yr Hi gb Please tell me how to find that and I can let you know, as I said this is brand new to me and a high learning curve. I am running a NVIDIA GEOFORCE GTX 900.0 , Bilinear with lens flare and Global text set very high, Peter
April 7, 201610 yr which has shrunk the cockpit so it is now across three monitors but covers a lot of the view. By changing the WideViewAspect setting you have simply zoomed out. If you left everything else at default you are likely using zoom=0.7, which is the default. To get the same view you had before you need to set it to about 3.7. Then you can zoom out a bit to fix the problem you were trying to solve. (In case you are interested, 3.7 is 0.7 x your-display's-aspect-ratio. I have assumed your monitors are each 1920 x 1080, as you didn't say.) Zoom is generally controlled with the '-' and '=' keys, with the SHIFT key for fine adjustment. The zoom value appears in red text at the top right of the display when you change it. EZCA (what people generally mean when they say 'EZDOK') will let you (among other things) set things like the default zoom and save it without having to fiddle with config files. Otherwise it adds dynamic motion effects to the views and allows you to create custom cameras. April 8, 201610 yr I have eight of these connected to my FSX. Also one of these. Thanks Mark, the vrinsight looks good... the other seems a lot of work and extra switch, rotary purchases... How well does the VR work... is it good with setting FREQ's for Radio, Nav ?
April 8, 201610 yr How well does the VR work... is it good with setting FREQ's for Radio, Nav ? Yes, but if you're looking to control the radios I would say you are better getting a Saitek radio panel and the MotiveMods upgrade. It is a bit more expensive than the VR Insight panel but it is a much better solution. That said, the VR Insight panel is very good quality.
