Posting of AOTD

Recommended Posts

There was a recent request that I consider posting the AOTD date as the UTC date. I've always posted the date following the release because early on in Flight's release, there was some inconsistency as to when the daily cache would show up. So being in the Eastern U.S. time zone, there was more time to hunt the following day than the day of release.

I've mulled this over and am trying a new date format when I post the AOTD as I normally am able to get them between 1400 hrs. and 1430 hrs. EST each day.

I'm calling on the Flight community to tell me how you would like to see the date presented.

(1). We can go back to the way I was originally doing it.

(2). We can use the UTC date. Which in my case would be the day of release.

(3). We can use my newly modified format.

(4). Or I'm open to suggestions from the community as what you would like to see.

I will keep this open for a few days to see what the responses are.

Remember, this is a chance for you to determine how you would like to see the AOTD's presented. Your input will determine which direction we go.

Thank you for your help.

Thank you.

Rick

Hi Folks

Richard -

I vote for UTC version,

or even for your new format of YY/DD - DD+1

But definitely not for today's posted format of YY/DD+1 - DD+2

First I want to say thanks for providing this info every day. I know it's announced on the MS site, but this helps get the running commentary going. As for the date, I like just the MS release date, PST/PDT. UTC is OK also.

I know I get it between 1300 hrs. and 1330 hrs. in the U.S. Central time zone most days. So I am fine with whatever the majority wants. Just checked and it is up right now!

UTC.

There is a world outside the USA.

People play this game in Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa and Americas.

We've had over a week to respond, and the overwhelming majority voted for UTC date. That's what it has been for the last few days, and what it will be from now on. We can thank Paul for his suggestion.

Thanks Paul.

Thank you.
