Carenado Annual Sale Now On!

Thank you, Bert. I value your opinion and think I will pass on the C340. If you do not mind my asking another question; what do you think of the C210? The threads I read here tend to cause me to shy away. Especially Gregg's topic concerning the handling while landing.

I love the C210 - and a few tweaks, found in the Avsim forum, correct the ballooning effect of the flaps.

Bert

After reading this thread I got the C337.

Odd looking plane that I'd never thought about before, but it's really good.

Thanks

I used to watch them come in at military bases...usually in flights of two. Very maneuverable, pretty quick. Watch the movie Bat 21 with Gene Hackman to see one in action.

Is his FDE for the C337 included in the model already or is it like his FDE for the C208 which is an additional "optional" patch offered by Carenado?

It's part of the original release. The 337 remains one of my absolute favorites and is my most flown plane.

As for the 210, as Bert mentions the flap changes suggested in the Carenado 210 forum really transformed the flying of this plane. With these changes in mind, it's easy to recommend at the sale price.

Me too. I really love the 337.

The only one I'm tempted to get in this sale is the Baron, but I've read some very conflicting reviews concerning its flight model.

IS it ok?

I had the same concerns and the avsim review wasnt exactly glowing, but a lot of praise for the The duke package at real air 2 planes for $40 . The duke and the baron are very similar

both the dukes fly sweet and good avsim reviews

C208 grand and expansion pack $22 very nice and you dont see the caravan discounted hardly ever

I might add 210 or 208 in my hangar. Baron looks good too but as I have Duke, that´s not my choice. Is´208 as good as 210?

I have the 208 and the 210. Both are great planes and I enjoy them a lot. I am currently flying the 210 and have not flown the 208 for about 6 months. With that said I really prefer the 208 a bit more. Both are just amazing though. Not to become confusing; however, If I had to make a choice of only having one it would be the C210 for two main reasons. First, it comes with a self installer from Carenado so you can add the RealityXP 530, 430, or 530 and 430 of which I use the 530. The C208 does not have that although a member of my VA did write and upload to AvSim step-by-step instructions on how to add them. The second reason I would chose the C208 is because I am a line sim pilot. I prefer big and heavy at FL280+ any day of the week. So, when I fly low and slow, I am not looking to haul cargo; just make short hops. The C208 is a work horse and the C210 is more of a sight seeing plane but still has that hauling flexibility. I hope that helps to answer your question.

Its 10% tuesday at PCAviator, so an extra 10% the Carenado planes until midnight (and a lot of other offers too!).

Picked up the 337 :)

Cheers

Keith

...

Yes Keith, I have been waiting for the 10% off Tuesday. Have several I would like to pickup during this sale. I have also ported over the 206, 182 from FS9 to FSX-D10 and work just fine. Couldn't get the Bonanza v35 to work beuase of the panel. Would be curious if anyone else had successfully ported some FS 9 over to FSX. Will definately have to get the 337 and 210.

Thanks for the tips, realised the C185Bush taildragger is exactly what I need - $10 from Carenado direct!

So you bought it Keith?

I don't think you will be disappointed - especially when using in say... Orbx PNW or the CRM.

Rob

So you bought it Keith?

Yep, I got it and yes its fine.

Though a bit slow and bouncy for the ESI scenery I'm currently investigating (Scilly, Guernsey) so it's going back in the hanger whilst the 337 gets exercised.

The 185 is good for beach landings though! And will go to the PNW.

Cheers

Keith

...

The C185F is a great Bush plane. Using it even more than the Scout! All over the PNW, Tongass Fjords, Pacific Fjords and RTMM (Return to Misty Moorings).

Also got the Grand Caravan+Cargomaster update at a great price.

Question. Which one is better, Bonanza V35B or A36?

Cheers.

Ramón.
Time, is the one thing no one can buy.

I got the Caravan too. Also the A36...but haven't flown it enough yet to know if it's better than the other beechcrafts from Carenado.
