Biz jets Citation x vs Mustang vs ?

Featured Replies

The 'Stang doesn't have a cold and dark state, or, at least I can't get it to work correctly. The fuel shut off/supply/fuel pump wont turn on correctly, and I end up with CTRL e start.

Ditto on the complete cold and dark issues, though in my case I've been able to get close and don't have to resort to a CTRL-E start. Even with F1's default flight DL'ed installed and set, the closest I can get is that the aircraft loads with engines running, but they immediately shut themselves back down. From there I can run the checklist, but in my case, I can't seem to get the avionics master to do anything meaningful. Battery on=avionics fully on no matter what I've tried.

On the plus side, others have mentioned that the Mustang is a real frame-eater, but on my modest system it runs as well as most of my other GA payware.

It is missing VNAV and I can't remember correctly but I don't think it supports airways. Someone may be able to correct me on that however...

Nope, it doesn't - you're absolutely correct. It's also missing the ability to save flight plans.

Scott, email me at the support email with exact Username.

I just wish EagleSoft would work magic with Gulfstream an make them come off the crazy stance they have with allowing development.

I know it won't happen but one can wish. Until then my Citation x gets more and more love.

hmmm wil have to rethink again. Fsuipc makes it a near $100 add on , money that could be better spent elsewhere during the xmas sales.

maybe the SJ1 v20 is the go no Fsuipc reqd

edit

thanks n 400. that could be the way to go, could always purchase the FSUIpC later

The ES Citation 750 is perfectly useable without FSUIPC, you just won't have the full emulation of FADEC engine control, which simply means you will have to be more careful about your power settings at takeoff and climb to avoid overspeed.

You can always add the registered FSUIPC later when it fits your budget, and still enjoy the Citation X in the meantime.

Thanks Jim! Our findings are that few really understand FADEC or appreciate the implimentation.

What we need is for folks to understand that FSUIPC is not required unless they know and appreciate FADEC operation.

As you say one can always add FSUIPC as budget allows.

finally completed a full fms flight klax - klas.

After countless hours on the PMDG 737 I am completely surprised to find another aircraft that is superior in flight dynamics and realism,

The verdict, pmdg has a prettier dash but the X just out pips it in the realism factor .

Morn'n Folks,

Will do - Ron - thanks - it's the same username I use everywhere - scottb613 - I'll send up you an email as well...

Question - I see everyone talking about the X - but - I see little mention of the CJ1 which comes later in ES development cycle... Can anyone offer insight on the CJ1 and how it compares to the X - are the good reviews on the X equally attributable to the CJ1 ??? I prefer the smaller jet but only if done to the same high standard... Yeah - yeah - I know - ES offers the Flight1 30 day guarantee - which I consider an excellent selling point - even so - I would feel guilty asking for my money back if I purchased it and I didn't like it - unless it was really bad...

:)

Scott

Scott, you are now activated.

CJ1+ 2.0 is a very enjoyable product and while not as complex as the X it does have its own special appeal.

We've never felt bad about customers taking advantage of our 30 Refund Option. It has always been a cheerful process because we want to please customers by making them financially whole if not satisfied with the product. :Nerd:

Hi Ron,

Ok - you guys obviously put forth the effort on the boards - so - one more question if you don't mind... "It's not as complex as the X" is that because the real CJ1 in real life isn't as complex as the X - or - that this is a simpler "lite" version that some vendors choose to go with ? I like realistic... Thanks for your patience and time...

:)

Regard,

Scott

Hey Scott

The F1 & Eaglesoft 30 day money back scheme is BRILLIANT! And, as Ron stated, they're always just cool about you using it. In all my years simming and using F1, I've probably used it myself 4 or 5 times ans ALWAYS been treated like a returning customer. Their service is as good as their product. It's what always takes me back to them.

Hi Dougal,

Yeah - Flight1 is a class act all the way - and - is usually my vendor of choice - just because they have the most reasonable policies... Thanks for the input...

With a fully functioning Universal UNS-1 FMS and Pro Line 21 plus full Navigraph DB support the CJ1+ 2.0 is hardly a "lite version" Scott. :Nerd:

I personally like it for medium hops and the kinds of non towered ops you might expect from this class of aircraft.

Hi Ron - thanks - I wasn't calling it lite - just asking - I'm new to biz jets... Trying to gauge whether the X or the CJ would be the better fit... Appreciate the help...
