April 15, 201313 yr If you really think the Universal FMS is less capable than the one in the Citation X, then I suspect strongly that you haven't even bothered to look at the manual supplied. It is actually more fully featured, and is capable of doing things that aren't even possible on any other real world FMS. In addition, you can drive the system with regular Nav radio or FMS. The ability to use the G500 as a source was my idea, to act as a backup for those who were too timid to learn how to use the UNS-1Fw system. Now your comment has given me cause to regret that decision... ^_^ I fly the X and CJ-1 all the time. many of the parameters you would enter into the X when you enter those into the Cj you get "this feature was not included in this aircraft". I'm not saying you can't do the same things it's just the X works more like the actual aircraft than the Cj does. "Why, he just jumped into the air and kept right on going."
April 16, 201313 yr and at the final purchase screen got this...http://i.imgur.com/P3lrbDb.jpg Something is wrong..let me check and I'll get back to you.

April 16, 201313 yr Just a quick note to say that the Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang can get in and out of very small airfields. I can operate it from 600 metres (2000 feet) hard runways with a 50 per cent fuel load.
April 16, 201313 yr Thanks... It said March and I was about to report that then remembered to back and refresh the page
From what I've just read in your last couple posts looks like the cj1+2 is more for me.. I want something to hop into after a long haul flight and explore the local area in but that keeps the high level of realism up... I know I can refund if not right so expect a new customer this week after I've played with my 3 days old j41 for a while as pmdg finally just fixed their activation problems

Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 2

Big duh moment for me... The cj1 IS the Mustang? So both cj1 and cj1+2 are BOTH the Mustang? Just lite and complex versions of same plane? Whenever I think of mustang I think of Garmin 1000? I have the realityxp gns 530 and broke my teeth using it to fly the realair fleet so I'd love a highly functional 1000

Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 2

Russell Gough SE London
April 16, 201313 yr Big duh moment for me... The cj1 IS the Mustang? Nope, we built CJ1 which was Cessna's offering then came Cessna's CJ1+ which we dubbed CJ1+ 2.0, and then Cessna Mustang which contains G1000 and is built by Jim Rhodes Team at Flight One.
April 16, 201313 yr The CJ's are not the Mustang, they are 2 different aircraft, but performance is close Jay
April 16, 201313 yr Ok thanks for clarification... I thought they were separate.. Cj1 +2 looks right for me I will look at the specs for that myself before asking any more questions they can tell me directly.. But if u have a moment does this plane have fms capable of lnav and vnav autopilot control? That's really all I need to know u guys have filled me in wonderfully thanks again!

Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 2

Russell Gough SE London
April 16, 201313 yr The CJ1+ version 2.0 (also known as a C525) from Eaglesoft (with their Universal FMS) DOES have capability of VNAV and LNAV. The Mustang (also known as a C510) from Flight One uses the G1000 which provides LNAV but does NOT provide VNAV. I own BOTH a/c and (in their own ways) are truly fantastic payware purchases and highly recommended. B) Quote
April 16, 201313 yr On a side note, I think that the Mustang is an excellent aircraft for "low and slow" VFR flights. With the flaps down, it can cruise around at very low speeds. It is also very stable, very responsive, and has excellent visibility. Just an observation in case you also like slow, relaxing flights looking at the scenery  Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
April 16, 201313 yr That's exactly what I do with the CJ. I fly with a group and since everyone uses different planes when we are "sight-seeing" I grab my trusty ole CJ. It takes off and lands on 2000' grass/dirt strips, can cruise between 100-300kts so it can match speeds, and has great overall performance. Between that and the QW 757 I have hardly flown another plane in months Jay
April 16, 201313 yr These replies give me exactly the info I need.. Will be getting both the cj3..sorry cj1+2 and the Mustang I eventually but the cj1+ first as it fills a gap in my fleet. The mustang is too close to my duke turbine and gns 530 right now to justify spending my hard earned on.
Thanks for converting my ignorance into knowledgeability (!) considering I thought the cx was the plane for me I'm glad to be set right. I just don't need all that power and weight just for my personal sightseeing.
Will be buying the cj1 this week

Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 2

Russell Gough SE London
April 16, 201313 yr Excel/XLS is still alive but is extremely slow on avionics and other tidbits... B) Really happy to hear there is another bird in the pipeline as I really enjoy flying the CX 2.0 but I'm looking for a new small jet to learn. Any chance it will be released this year? April 16, 201313 yr Really happy to hear there is another bird in the pipeline as I really enjoy flying the CX 2.0 but I'm looking for a new small jet to learn. Any chance it will be released this year? The entire project is moving out of Gmax to 3DSmax and an entire Avionics Suite must be built so patience is the key gentlemen. B)
