Good afternoon folks,

Im looking at 24" monitors, and have a few in mind,

What am i looking for in terms of quality?

Faster response time - (~lower ms) ?

resolution (most 24" are 1920X1080)

Brightness - is 200 cd/m2 better than say 250cd/m2?

and contrast ratio, is 1000:1 a good figure i should be looking for?

Regards

Paul

This has been a great screen for me. I like the additional vertical height at 1200 instead of 1080--particularly nice when you want to view something best viewed in 1600x1200 ;o)

Hi Noel,

Thanks for your reply.

Its a litle bit pricey for me at the moment, i am saving £80 buying the 3570k over the 3770k, and i am also saving £40 by buying 2400 z series ripjaws over 2400 corsair dom platinum, and i can add £40-50 to that, so in all i have about £140 for a monitor.

I read that changing it from the native res that problems can ensue, i will try to find where i seen it and link, - if memory serves me correct the native was 1920X1080

I also thought last night that they specs wont matter as much as its an fsx only pc so nothing like bf3 with fast changing textures will not apply.

This is the monitor that i have selected so far:
