January 4, 201313 yr Hi everyone My last 4 flights into EGKK have been disasterous as on late finals and as i cross the threshold at 50ft to rwy 26L at EGKK my PMDG737NG suddenly rolls and crashes. I have experienced this a few time before at other airports in SA too. Has anyone experienced this before an if so what is causing it? Any pointers ould be appreciated. January 5, 201313 yr Are you using any weather programs such as Active Sky? Any AI aircraft taking off right before you land? If you have wake turbulence enabled, the depicted effects are greatly exaggerated in FSX. If this isn't the answer, do a quick search on these forums. I've seen this issue reported many times, but usually it's just a weather program depicting wake turbulence. Dylan Charles "The aircraft G-limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular airplane. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no G-limits."
January 5, 201313 yr Hi Rory, Are you using ActiveSky or REX by chance? If so, there's a possibility of you entering wake turbulence left by the aircraft that had taken off the runway in front of you. -Jiaqing LEW 'There's no reason to not like flying'
January 5, 201313 yr When Using Vatsim FSinn, aircraft that are even just holding short of the runway will produce "wake Turbulence" as if they are an A380 hovering at the threshold using Thrust vectoring to maintain a few ft off the ground. Massive Heavy Turbulence as far as 100ft away from their location in all directions. I'v had full "Aircraft (737NGX) flips onto it's back by doing a right hand barrel roll while I have full left stick and full thrust accelerating through Vref+15" events when I'v accidentally left wake turbulence effects up high. (Such as after a recent ActiveSky 2012 beta patch). Trent Hopkinson, 2015 Crewmember of www.mangrove.com.au WorldFlight sim Youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/musicalaviator
January 5, 201313 yr Author hi everyone Thanks for the tips, yes i am using active sky (recent beta patch for 2012 version) and had wake turbulence set to 100%. i wiull reduce this and let you know how it goes as almost all incidents occured in heavy trafic situations and i received late clearance in landing behind other aircraft. Thanks again, Rory Intel i-7 2600K,3.4GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX560 12GB RAM Win 7 64bits
