Airbus for FSX... BlackBox Aibus Xtreme or Aerosoft X Extended?

Well, I looked at the video and noticed that ALL the config lights were on (when they shouldn't be) You can only use one at a time in reality. The guages were of poor quality so I'd just like to know where it is, you consider It's amazing?

Workaround here, workaround there, come on. If I buy an airliner that is promoted as "daily work on the left seat", it can't be true that there is no working managed descend. If I want to calculate the TOD on my own and save the aircraft from its autopilot having strange behaviour from time to time, I can easily fly a default aircraft (or the naughty Wilco)...

Does the BBS work 100% with no work arounds (this is a legitimate question, no snarkyness intended)?

It's still a beta, what do you expect?

So we have two Airbuses that require work arounds to have a full flight. In that case the OP might as well not buy anything, not now at least.

There is another hot fix coming out for the AXE tomorrow and SP1 is said to be in development, to the OP, maybe wait and see what the reactions are from the next hot fix and a timeline for SP1 that and make a decision.

Happy New Year to you too!

To the OP:

Aerosoft Airbus X Extended ........ wins hands down. Awesome and high quality product.

Buy the BBS if you want to hear the default GA fuel pump operating in an airbus  and a plane that is around 40% complete.

I wonder what the average age of the BETA testers at aerosoft are.

The above comment is unfounded, and of course you would support the aerosoft bus because of your signature.. Tell me, you say that it is 40% complete, you must own it then?> Do indulge me,

Weren't you on the beta? Oh, yeah..... I'll answer for you though, late 20's/early 30's averaging it out. None lower than 20/21 that I know of and as for the upper limit.....I'll leave that for them ^_^

I stated the fact that the Airbus Xtended (I tried my friend's Xtended) cannot reliably follow the AC1C SID from VVTS airport (main my route VVTS-VVDN) which made me quit midway because the bus struggled to return to the flight path. The BBS did that perfectly. So to me, on that route, BBS is more reliable than the Xtended. I also said that I really enjoyed the BBS managed descend, but I never told that Xtended managed descend sucked big time or such (simply because I did not have a chance to test it out). Well-educated readers easily find that I am not bashing any products. In fact, I did considered to purchase Xtended when you guys released SP to make it more stable (I kinda like the VC and come on 3x EUR is tiny), but sorry you guys beta testers jumped in and accused people doing this or that...Why dont just simple test the SID out and tell me how I should do so that your Xtended can follow the stated SID perfectly. Win a potential customer, not bashing and scare away one. Geezzz.

I don't know why some are finding it "unflyable". I have had no problems with its "flyability" - no throttle issues (setup through FSX, not FSUIPC). Aspects of the autoflight system are a little "rough", as well as the 360 deg turn thing which seems to happen in LOC mode. I too am confident that Aerosoft will sort the problems out. Too many people seem to expect this to be an NGX, which it never claimed to be.

I like it, I'm glad I bought it and I'll keep flying it. I have BBS also, and will buy the FSL one when it comes out if I'm not too old by then.

I think the problem with it being considered unflyable is the loose stick authority problem it has. It doesn't respond immediately to your stick inputs. Aerosoft, says the next update, should improve this. We'll see tomorrow!! Personally even with this, I would hardly classify the plane unflyable, but I can see how others would.

Thanks

Tom
