January 20, 201313 yr Hmmmm, autogen texture overhaul is a very complex project, huge number of textures. Maybe I will do it after airport overhaul, but I'm thinking it is a waste of time and resources. I did suggest it slightly tongue in cheek ! I know it's a massive task, but one that needs doing.

Your concrete textures are just about perfect. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

January 21, 201313 yr Author Commercial Member Do you think that also taxiways needs detail texture? If so create new folder where do you extracted Runway Detail Texture Set, name it for example "concrete taxiway" and copy "runway_texture.bmp" from concrete folder to that new "concrete taxiway" folder, then rename it to "taxiway_detail.bmp", and finally copy it to "...\texture\" folder. If you want detail texture for asphalt taxiways, do the same, just be sure to name the file "taxiway_detail02.bmp". I tested concrete detail texture on my taxiway texture, it blends perfectly. Did I explained well? B) Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

Hook you do realize that you are supposed to wear brown shoes with a blue suit right? You should never wear black shoes with a blue suit. Anyways, enough with getting off topic. January 22, 201313 yr If I mantain the quality of textures in this project (towards visual realism), do you think that it can be success, popular with number of users? This is a really important question for me, so you will be very helpful with your answers! Your work would be greatly appreciated by a large majority of the simming community and prove to be extremely popular. I would call that successful. Keep up the great work. jime. James D. Edwards
January 22, 201313 yr Author Commercial Member Thanks Jime for your opinion, highly appreciated. :good: As I continue to work on Airport Overhaul X (name of the product), I can tell you about my plans for pricing and selling. The price will be between 10-15 euros, (probably 12e), and it will be on simmarket only, again probably. I think the price range is spot on considering the quality of textures, and amount of work done. cheers Predrag Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.
January 22, 201313 yr Predrag I just Loaded the Runway Textures, I Ended up Liking Rough the Best. All i Can Say is Excellent Work they all look much better than What i Had. A Very Nice Addition Thank You !!!
January 22, 201313 yr default building textures (except my taxiway texture): my building textures: my tarmac taxiway 2048p texture: Pe11e, are those taxi/parking textures part of REX? Or did you create those yourself? If they are yours, are you also going to include those in the avsim library at some point? Or are you saving those for a payware package? AJ Pongress
January 22, 201313 yr Personally I think that's a good price and I would probably buy it. Even though most of the airfields I fly are custom, it would be worth it to get the defaults up to standard. Keep us posted.
January 22, 201313 yr Author Commercial Member @777fan On screenshots I posted you can see my concrete taxiway texture, as I wrote above the image. Parking & runway textures are from REX, but I will probably include some runways and taxiways along with building textures in Airport Overhaul X. January 22, 201313 yr Thanks a lot, Predrag! I just installed it (runway and taxiway details), and I have to say it's awesome! I'm already looking forward to your Airport Overhaul. It looks like your two products will make all airports look great, no matter if there's an addon installed or not. Flo Florian

January 22, 201313 yr Author Commercial Member @777fan On above screenshot I used concrete runway texture, taxiway markings, and parking texture from REX. Taxiway texture is mine, and runway detail textures are done by me. To avoid any confusion, I added my detail textures over concrete runway texture from REX. In all future screenshots regarding runways and taxiways and generally Airport Overhaul X, there will be no textures from REX, logically. In preview screenshots I used Concrete Runway 08 from REX.
