ENGINE START LEVERS and FSUIPC

friends, how I can assign the ENGINE START LEVERS with FSUIPC.

I want to use my command CH PRODC and I have several buttons available.

What command can i use for this.

A couple of options Fher:

 

Have a look at the PMDG options for controls in the Control Stand section. You'll find keyboard shortcuts that can be assigned in FSUIPC using the 'Select for Keypress' option.

 

Alternatively have a look at using LINDA, which will allow extensive assessments for various add-ons

But here is how I did it:

 

To set the fuel levers, go into the FMC in the NGX and go to Menu>PMDG Setup>Options>Key Commands>Control Stand>(press)Next Page (button) and you will see "ENG 1 IDLE (shift+ctrl+F2)" "ENG 1 CUTOFF (shift+ctrl+F1)" "ENG 2 IDLE (shift+ctrl+F4)" ENG 2 CUTOFF (shift+ctrl+F3).

Now go into FSUIPC and go to "Buttons+Switches". Move the Engine one cutoff switch all the way up, on the G737 and set that button in FSUIPC (check box-Select for key press) then click the "Set" button and type the "ENG 1 IDLE" hotkey combination in the box, then check the box "Key press not to be held" and go down and set "Press the key(s) to be sent when you release this button" to match the "ENG 1 CUTOFF" hotkey combination in the NGX FMC. Double check to be sure you have everything right and set ENG 2 the same way.

I set the cutoff controls in FSUIPC for my Saitek throttle using the toggle buttons below the throttles. First, I selected the button I wanted to assign to Left Start Lever Idle, checked "Select for FS control", and selected "<custom Control>" from the drop-down list.

 

 

I entered the decimal value for the left start lever (the right start lever is 70321)

 

 

I set the parameter to 0 for Idle.

 

 

Then I repeated the steps for the Left Start Lever Cutoff button, which has a Parameter value of 1.

 

 

Repeat all of the above steps for the Right Start Lever using <70321>

If you wanted the NGX-specific codes, then here they are.

 

I created a spreadsheet from the SDK header and derived the decimal values for all of the control event codes. Here's a quick-and-dirty version. I don't have very many setting values documented because I only use a couple; you'll have to look at the SDK header for specific values. Off-on is usually pretty straightforward, 0 or 1. More complex switches and knobs may require finding the values in the SDK.h.

Don,t know if you got it working yet!

 

But here is how I did it:

 

To set the fuel levers, go into the FMC in the NGX and go to Menu>PMDG Setup>Options>Key Commands>Control Stand>(press)Next Page (button) and you will see "ENG 1 IDLE (shift+ctrl+F2)" "ENG 1 CUTOFF (shift+ctrl+F1)" "ENG 2 IDLE (shift+ctrl+F4)" ENG 2 CUTOFF (shift+ctrl+F3).

Now go into FSUIPC and go to "Buttons+Switches". Move the Engine one cutoff switch all the way up, on the G737 and set that button in FSUIPC (check box-Select for key press) then click the "Set" button and type the "ENG 1 IDLE" hotkey combination in the box, then check the box "Key press not to be held" and go down and set "Press the key(s) to be sent when you release this button" to match the "ENG 1 CUTOFF" hotkey combination in the NGX FMC. Double check to be sure you have everything right and set ENG 2 the same way.

I really don't know, here it works just fine!

Are you sure u use for engine nr 1 --  ENG 1 IDLE (shift+ctrl+F2)" "ENG 1 CUTOFF (shift+ctrl+F1)"??
