This should be the Iditarod checkpoint #6. It is a repeat of 7/23/12. I guess if you missed it then, you can collect it now.

 

If I remember, this was a bit of a challenge to collect.

Ok, I must have misses this one. It was tough alright. It was a long way from the Rainy Pass Lodge airstrip where I made my first landing. I ended up going IFR to find it. The road terminated right at the lake.

Low and slow dude. I did however have to pull up a bit to clear that darn tree coming into Rainy Pass Lodge airstrip. Lucky the carbon Cub has power to spare! My instructor always had to remind me not to drag it in. What if the engine quit he would say. Good point! So in the RW in would make a steep decent with with full flaps, weather permitting of course. But this ain't the real world!
