Hello captains,

Im having a series of issues with the NGX and need some serious help. My 737 was previously working perfectly but another issue caused me to repair windows and also caused me to uninstall FSX and the NGX.

So after reinstalling FSX Deluxe from the dvd's, installing the two service packs followed by the SDK service packs and rebooting between each, I install the 737, reboot, and attempt to load the 737. The ngx, however, brings fsx to its knees and slows the sim down to the point where it locks up and freezes. (I have to CTRL+ALT+Delete to load the various FSX menus and after pressing the "Fly NOW" button the sim does not load up at all. In addition to this, after i force the sim to close, FSX crashes.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what is going on, or what im doing wrong? This is actually my 5th reinstall of FSX and the NGX/Md-11 since wednesday and the same thing happens each time. I have since updated windows Vista 64 bit Home premium service pack 2. Is this a .NET framework issue? or even a MS Visual C++ issue? Please help.

P.S. I have performed several registry cleanings using CCleaner.

Do you experience similar issues with other aircraft, including default aircraft? Have you made sure that no antivirus and/or Windows privileges issues are interfering with your installation (i.e., you are running FSX as an administrator and preferably have installed FSX in its own separate folder in the C drive)? Have you applied the stability tweaks HIGHMEMFIX=1 and UIAutomationCore.dll?

Did anything out of the ordinary occur during your repair (I am assuming that it was not a complete OS reinstallation)?

Hello Owen and thanks for the reply,

Yea it wasnt a complete reinstall, i want to exhaust all other avenues before going there. all the other default aircraft works perfectly fine and yes fSX is in the C drive "C:/FSX". Only thing that I probably havent done is the UIAutomationCore.dll, im going try and see whats going on with that and let you know.

Thanks again

Well, first we need more information. What's your setup both hardware and OS. Next, have you followed all of the instructions found in the NGX introduction manual? Finally what else do you have installed in FSX and what else is running while FSX is running?

It's hard to troubleshoot and give suggestions when basically the information provided says It was working, I have repaired Windows and now it doesn't work. It could also be helpful to understand why you had to repair the OS.

I could say... Well, its broken and you need to fix it. But I won't...

I had similar issue on WIndows 8 and Aerosoft's Ibiza, it was caused by Ibiza's road traffic. Disabling that feature in Aerosoft options fixed it. I know it may have nothing to do with OP's issue, but it never hurts to try ;)

Hello again,

Im running a fairly old system:

Core 2 quad Q9400 2.66 overclocked to 3.34 on air

Nvidia gtx 460

4 gigs ram patriot

500gig western digital hdd

Asus P5q Pro turbo mobo

Windows vista 64bit Home premium with service pack 2 installed

FSX with service pack 2

SDK SP1A

Pmdg md11

and NGX

Nothing else running while FSX is running as i have ACTive sky and sqwaukbox on a networked laptop

And no other addons/scenery installed as yet

Basically had to repair windows because my DVD drive stopped working and the registry edit fix that I found on the internet didnt fix it but sent windows vista into recovery mode where It was asking for the Vista CD to repair it. So i Repaired it and basically bought a external DvD drive and reinstalled FSX and the NGX from scratch after a few registry cleanings. Only thing left for me to do is to completely reinstall windows but im trying hard not to go through that without trying everything else.

Do let me know if you need more info.

Gidel,

You could try to delete your current FSX file and let it create a new one for you. Also, do you use the Venetubo site to tweak your FSX.cfg file for you? If not, I HIGHLY recommend it! I also get some issues from time to time where the NGX would start to give me performance issues, then I simply do what I cited above and bingo, fixes it.

It might not work, but it is always worth a shot!

Kind regards

System repair may be a problem here. It takes your current settings but restores outdated files, this must lead to errors. I have recently upgraded Windows7 to 8 with same results. Full clean OS installation was required to clean all the mess that "update" process did. Repair is good for office computers, that usually are used only for text and porn :P
