560GTX Ti Can I Make Better Use of Its Resources

Featured Replies

Running an FSXMark flight I'm getting 81% GPU and 61% Memory useage, is there anything I can do that will make the card work a bit harder and therefore improve performance or image quality?

Current Graphics Settings

Aniso = Application Controlled

AA = Overide System Setting, 8xS, 2xSGS

TF= Clamp

IQ = High

Trilinear = Off

Max Prerendered = 1

With those settings (2xSGSS in particular) your GPU will choke to death in clouds (2 or more layers probably)

I've just flown (Carenado C208) through clouds between 4,000 and 12,000 ft with a layer of cirrus above, Max GPU went up to 91% Max Memory stayed the same at 61%. Card is overclocked 950/2250.

what resolution?

1680x1050.

Yes, run in DX10 mode.

Tried that with the required mods but prefer DX9.

So if your card, once overclocked can handle 8xS + 2xSGSS in clouds at your resolution, you should be happy with that.

91% tells me it's being used quite a lot.

Looks well balanced to me as it is, but you can try the AF to app controlled tweak if you haven't already (keep 2xSGSS instead of 4xSGSS)
