that does not always mean the PAST was right

:Peace:

Which may mean the present is not correct

Respect girl..!!

You couldnt be closer to the truth..

clearly showing that sometime 62 years experience , does not mean in all circumstances that 62 years are always correct. Infact most 62 year olds cling desperately to how things have been done ages ago and that does not always mean the PAST was right

:Peace:

It's not how, many years experience you've had, it's what you've learnt from those years.

I'm a 55 year old genius by the way. Like one of those wise elders from Star Trek.

I can't believe some of the post here, nothing personal about Word Not Allowed as I hardly exchanges post with him BUT because he was good at what he was doing and he helped a lot of you in the hardware's forum (wondering how many of you have P3D and were welling to use products not allowed in it by the developers?) he does not have to play by the rules????

I guess the rules can be bend iF one can help another member on how to NOT follow the developer's wishes on how to use their products....and that's where the problem is.

So about Lance Armstrong, just because he was doing some good things like having a foundation for cancer, raising millions to help others we should give him a pass on his "not playing by the same rules as others with banned substances", why not give him another chance since we are at it ....seriously, it's not like he did not know what the rules were did he, unless YOU were profiting money wise on Lance's success I guess it's ok to turn a blind eye and screw everything else?

So far everybody is saying that Lance does not deserved his medals because he did not play by the rules but Word Not Allowed should keep his banner???

Well, first to say that I was never fan of Lance, but back in time, that was the only way to win TDF. Why? Because all of them cheated, authorities too. If you want a fair "game", apply same rules, and find a way to enforce that rules... or do not host a "game" at all.

Yes exactly, Armstrong has no sympathy from me. But then, when it's not a level playing field, you can certainly see why some are motivated to use the same "methods" as the majority.

Certain modern sports, are more about "timing" in regard to the capabilities of tests to detect, than being "natural".

But this isn't the place to discuss such things in depth.

Is this a game of AVSIM Trivia?

Let me guess... (stating it in the form of a question...) Name two other past members of AVSIM who provided much tech support that were not banned.

so I guess a lot of people might be in for a surprise..!

There will always be a reincarnation of the "Time Lord". Just don't put your ugly face over there to the left.

Spock [sits in the cockpit of his future self's ship, which springs to life] "Fascinating!"

Awesome film, can't wait for the next one.

Cheers, Andy.

Trailer looks good.

We've gone form Word Not Allowed is banned, to Star Trek.

I always preferred Star Trek to Word Not Allowed anyway to be honest. Word Not Allowed doesn't travel through space, go faster than the speed of light, and most certainly doesn't have a warp core.

With that quote it seems that the time has come to let this painful and divisive post in this chapter of AVSIMs history come to a close. Of course, opinions are formed, statements being made and reshaped and simple facts being spun into abstract webs from different sides.

I/we won't become a moving target. What was written in the opening post won't be changed to edit or to alter what might have been written better, or to eliminate that which perhaps on hindsight might have been better unsaid, or to add to the facts.

It is now part of our history, despite present aftershocks, with consequences evaluated for good or ill (or both) better left for those who follow to pass balanced meaning and judgments upon.

Even though I will miss Srdan and his unique perspectives, the AVSIM team made the right decision. The final sentence written in the statement stands true more than ever:

"We have made a difficult decision, but it is made, and we move forward."

Kind regards,
