Would anyone know if there is a way to increase the sound volume of an aircraft in FSX when in tower view? It sometimes seems like some aircraft sound levels are too low and not realistic during takeoffs or flybys.

In the sound cfg for the aircraft you have in mind, try and see if there is a line that looks like this for a sound file entry.

"full_Scale_Distance=2000"

It probably isn't there, so go ahead and add it in.

The sound file entry should look something like this:

Oh, and if you're not sure of how to add entries you can send me the offending sound cfg and I will fix it up for you
