February 12, 201313 yr Would anyone know if there is a way to increase the sound volume of an aircraft in FSX when in tower view? It sometimes seems like some aircraft sound levels are too low and not realistic during takeoffs or flybys. -- tazz
February 12, 201313 yr In the sound cfg for the aircraft you have in mind, try and see if there is a line that looks like this for a sound file entry. "full_Scale_Distance=2000" It probably isn't there, so go ahead and add it in. The sound file entry should look something like this: [COMBUSTION.1.01] filename=xge90_RUMBLE_DISTANT flags=8 viewpoint=2 rparams=0.550000,0.918000,1.100000,1.345000 vparams=0.425134,0.010000,0.568984,0.010000,0.668449,9.308511,0.776471,56.356380,0.859358,92.739365,0.920530,95.531914,0.973510,96.595741,1.100000,100.000000 insideConeAngle=90 outsideConeAngle=350 conePitch=0 coneHeading=90 outsideConeVolume=9000 full_Scale_Distance=2000 link=COMBUSTION.1.02 Jesse Casserly ✌🏼️ https://www.youtube.com/user/JesseCasserly757 💻 i7-10750H 2.6 GHz / 5.0 GHz, 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD, 1TB HDD, RTX 2080 Super Saitek X-56 HOTAS
February 12, 201313 yr Oh, and if you're not sure of how to add entries you can send me the offending sound cfg and I will fix it up for you Jesse Casserly ✌🏼️ https://www.youtube.com/user/JesseCasserly757 💻 i7-10750H 2.6 GHz / 5.0 GHz, 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD, 1TB HDD, RTX 2080 Super Saitek X-56 HOTAS
