Project Airbus A380,Aircraft stalls at departure gate

Featured Replies

Hi guys, hope your all well and good. I downloaded the PA A380 along with an Air France livery so I could fly it between LAX and CDG but when I loaded up the Aircraft at LAX it stalled (even though it's not in the air) does anyone know how to fix this?

You don't have in mind that it stalls... but falls to the ground? its overloaded, while loading the aircraft change the fuel quantity. Sorry for my English ;)

I checked the fuel load, there isn't any fuel at all! How do I get the proper fuel calculations for my route?

@TheRealThing89

Disable crash detection in FSX. This is a common issue, either because of errors in the airplane model or the scenery.

Disable crash detection in FSX

Can remind you that this forum is the FS2004 forum .... or I'm missing something ?

About the question of the original poster :

Do you have the same crash in other airports ?

Myself never had problems with the PA A380 .......

Fuel and Payload button on the create a flight screen. Alternatively, if you're already on the ramp, hit Alt and click Aircraft -> Fuel and Payload

I dunno about you, but I use the create a flight menu to create a new flight from scratch rather than loading up a default flight and switching stuff around. As for having the proper amount of fuel, it depends on your flying style. If you're a casual simmer, you can often times estimate your fuel burn using the built in NavLog on the flight planner page. If you're a more serious simmer, you can use a third party utility to calculate the fuel required. There's a really nice excel spreadsheet out there that does everything for you and I tend to use that for my flight planning. Google that one up.

You can also use this website for your fuel planning needs: http://fuelplanner.com/

Good luck. :)

Nothing to do with fuel or weight of any kind

I use the default settings of the PA A380 (Nothing modified on fuel or weight) and I have no problems

I suspect that the problem of the original poster is a matter of some other settings in FS2004 or a problem of scenery .. or maybe the particular AF PA A380 have a CFG modified (contacts points)

Well the OP did say the following:

I checked the fuel load, there isn't any fuel at all! How do I get the proper fuel calculations for my route?

He's carrying no fuel.

You're right though, maybe his fuel setting in the aircraft.cfg is busted. OP, just check the aircraft.cfg file and see what the fuel section says. It should look similar to navtech's.
