February 26, 201313 yr Not so much a sign of too much FSX, but definitely a side-effect that I suffer from...when watching FSX-related YouTube videos, in VC shots, I reach for my hat switch to look around...
February 26, 201313 yr Or two hours into the flight, start looking for the pause button so you can go and have a cigarette! Or, quietly hoping to be handed off to Unicom soon, for the same reason, for twenty minutes, before remembering you're actually on a 6 hour flight.
February 26, 201313 yr Commercial Member Ages ago a workmate I knew used to play a game a lot, can't remember exactly but the space bar re-spawned the player. One day he run his car into something and told me later that it only occurred to him he'd actually crashed as he reached out for the keyboard. Not sure he was joking. February 26, 201313 yr When sitting with my wife in an airplane ready to take off or land and Im telling her everything that's really going on and she's pretending to listen. +1! Regards, Hugo Bravo LPPT

Absolutely, I do this all the time. I remember watching AOAs NGX videos are trying to pan around using the hat switch. I also do this with Youtube videos and even once had the urge to do it when watching a video of a real flight. It's an illness
February 27, 201313 yr ...before takeoff on a long haul flight from Istanbul to Newark with your Level D767, your wife catches you taking a picture of your new simpit with your smartphone. As you feebily try to apologize to her, she gets her big brother to throw you out of the house.
February 27, 201313 yr I pretend to throttle up the engines I totally do that! Especially when in mowing the lawn I treat the controllers like the yoke and the throttle like the well, throttle and everything else like its equivalent on a plane. Even when I use my snowblower I plug it into the wall before I start it like using an APU or the primary exterior power at an airport. February 28, 201313 yr Moderator Oh boy, and here I have been thinking I was weird because I sometimes find myself pushing the grocery cart making motorcycle noises, shifting gears and pretending to twist the throttle grip...
