I don't think that there are any turboprops that challenge the level of pmdg. Turboprops are kind of ignored in todays addon market, so there are very few really good add ons. You might want to wait for majestic software to give us their Q400.

You might not consider it a good VC but I've been using Mario's Piaggio P180 - the new version that is. It's an excellent rendition of the Avanti II. Found here in the libraries.

Ate you referring to an Airliner turboprop, Corporate or GA? Quite a bit of difference.

If it's GA... Real Air Duke turbine.

If it's commercial... well, nothing jumps out. This is a sadly neglected segment of the aviation spectrum with regard to "current offerings". I Suppose the PMDG J-41 but even that is like 3 years or more old, now.

Rick Piper's HS748 is top notch. Designed for FS9 but works just fine in FSX. Not to be missed if you are a turboprop fan. Comes at the low cost of nothing at all too!

On the payware front, aside from those already mentioned, there are a whole slew of payware birds about to get released. Off the top of my head in no particular order:

Majestic Dash 8 Q400

Aerosoft DHC-6 Twin Otter (The extended version, not the already released version which though old is pretty good)

RazBam Metroliner III (and other variants too I believe)

Flight1 B200 King Air with G1000 avionics

MilViz B350i King Air with Collins avionics

Sorry if I missed anything, I am still on my first cup of coffee this morning.

IMHO Lionheart Creations Epic LT single turbo has an excellent VC and it's a sweet a/c. Payware -www.lionheartcreations.com - worth a look!

Well you can consider the C90B actually its a good plane good VC and good FDE better than the b200 both of carenado. The aerosoft piper cheyenne besides its older is one of the best planes visually and fde and he comes with 4models.

I second the Cheyenne, it was well ahead of many planes for its time. models the turboprops well. You may not like the GPS but it is true to type. Just remember Turboprop engined have slow responsetime, you need to think ahead a bit like using jets when doing carrier landings.

Second the Cheyenee what a beautiful plane - and what an immersive VC despite its age. About the Epic LT - not so sure, my least favorite payware (uninstalled quickly). Lion Heart Kodiak is great too (PT-6 engine right?)

To be honest like the OP, even I am looking for a modern J41 quality payware. Haven't found it yet. Duke, Cheyenne are superb but I suspect much smaller than what he is looking for.

Sadly never worked for me...

Flight1 B200 King Air with G1000 avionics

MilViz B350i King Air with Collins avionics

Are they out already?

For some reason these birds are few and far between. I don´t understand why.

I enjoyed Dash7 in FS9. (As well as Flight1 ATR)

I do have Aerosoft DHC-6, not bad but little outdated. Never bought Carenado KingAir, but might buy one of the KingAirs later. Still hope we would have something like S340B or S2000, not to mention DHC8...
