how to set default view for 3d cockpit?

Recommended Posts

It's been awhile since I've used X-Plane. Been so use to EZDok Cam on FSX. But how do you set your default view and have it saved for the virtual cockpit? I'd like to do this for the 777 Worldliner as it opens up way to close with the view aimed towards the rudders. I'd like to adjust the view and have it higher and face out the window.

The way to change the standard viewpoint permanently is in Planemaker.

Alternatively the Pilotview plugin will work just as well and is now 64-bit.

Although not "default", as of July 2012 X-Plane 10 has a feature called "Quick look" which uses the keypad numbers as recall views. Even if you don't have a keypad, I have Quicklook-5 mapped to a joystick button so I can easily return to whatever personal default view I set up earlier.

This explains it a bit better: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/62414-quicklook-function-in-x-plane-10/
