Iditarod (the ghost town)

I thought I knew where it was (SouthEast of McGrath). I've flown around that area all morning and the pointer is always "out of range"

Can anyone give me some clues on how to get this AOD?

The best way I could remember how to get there was that it is about half way between Ophir and Shageluk (sp). The is SW of McGrath, not SE.. It's a long flight so if you want to do it in a shorter time, take off at Flat and you should find it very quickly.

I'm pretty sure they pulled Iditarod 12 because it was released early. The "hide until" date was set incorrectly. I believe it will be re-released a couple of Thursdays from now. That just might coincide with when the real live race is passing through that area! Coincidence? I think not!

Not only that ATM, but it seems like someone is having a lot of trouble getting the AOTD's to post properly for the last several days. Unfortunate.

Aha! Perhaps that's why my aerocache count decreased by 1 since yesterday. I see it's no longer in the list.
