September 1, 200421 yr I've been flying on VATSIM quite a bit lately and would like to try my hand at flying in Europe since there seems to be a lot of traffic and online controllers. I have approach plates for Europe, High Altitude IFR charts, and just recently purchased ONC charts for the area but the latter do not have frequencies for VORs and such. Is there any chart analogous to a VFR sectional available for those areas? ThanksDavid
September 1, 200421 yr the french aviation civile publishes vac's, something like vfr approach charts. example:http://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/aip...AD%202.LFMD.pdffor hundreds more, drill down from here...http://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/aip/enligne/index.htmbig bump to the original question... anyone? :)
September 1, 200421 yr Vilk,Wow! Those are really pretty charts. They seem pretty small scale to really plan a flight but I will keep looking through that site you recommended. ThanksDavid
September 1, 200421 yr i didn't have too much time to investigate, but it looks like the charts for larger airports cover more area... i did a delightful one-hour vfr discovery flight in southern provence using just marseille, cannes, and a couple of othersi guess if you print out the pdf for every single field in the area you're interested in, you will not have too much space left uncharted:)
September 1, 200421 yr Author I use the Jeppesen VFR+GPS charts (1:500,000). They are pretty similar to the US sectionals and show airports, VORs, airspace, restricted areas etc.http://www.jeppesen.com/wlcs/index.jsp?sec...ns_vfr-gps.jsp/ -
