March 5, 201313 yr Just pushed back and noticed the left and right fwd overwing exit lights are both illuminated. I have checked all doors are closed according to the Doors menu in the FMC, I have checked from the outside and the doors are closed and I have checked I have no failures active so can't understand why these warning lights are illuminated and how to make them extinguish...? Anyone else seen this? I have never seen this problem before.
March 5, 201313 yr I've experienced this and couldn't resolve it. I just had to restart flight C Parker
March 5, 201313 yr Author After performing all the checks mentioned in my previous post I was brave/stupid and took off despite these warnings and once airborne to my joy I noticed they were extinguished so whatever it was causing this it resolved by itself :-)
March 5, 201313 yr Go to the FMC, and open the overwing exits then close them again, I taxiied and they didn't exstinguish so seems weird, although only had this issue once and that's how I fixed it so I didn't need to stop the flight ... or better still pretend you didn't see the lights and take-off and then have some diversion back to the airport fun... March 5, 201313 yr Author I tried opening/closing the overwing exits several times via the FMC to no avail but as mentioned above the warning lights extinguished after I took off and I'm happy to tell you both myself and all PAX are now safe on the ground again
March 5, 201313 yr The pressure build-up sealed them Well I have seen some realistic sims, but this is amazing!.. AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 4.2 32 gig ram, Nvidia RTX3060 12 gig, Intel 760 SSD M2 NVMe 512 gig, M2NVMe 1Tbt (OS) M2NVMe 2Tbt (MSFS) Crucial MX500 SSD (Backup OS). March 5, 201313 yr It would be rather odd for the pressure buildup to seal them, since they're canopy type exits. This is however a quirk the real NG has too, although I'm not sure I've heard of the sixpack lighting up during taxi. Name available upon request
March 5, 201313 yr Check the intro doc. This is a known behavior on the NG. The doors may not close completely until the pressurization seal them.
March 5, 201313 yr There are some really good quirks modelled by PMDG here guys Welcome to the world of planes that with hundreds of moving parts are far from perfect Craig Harris 'NG Driver' for an airline whom shall not be named...

March 5, 201313 yr Advancing the thrust levers usually have helped me, that should engage the locks in the over wing exits. Advance the thrust levers fully forward and back, no need to wait for the engines to spool up. Patrik Stellgren
March 6, 201313 yr Author Advancing the thrust levers usually have helped me, that should engage the locks in the over wing exits. Advance the thrust levers fully forward and back, no need to wait for the engines to spool up. Thanks for the tip! Will try that next time I have the same problem.
