March 6, 201313 yr Hi guys just wondering if anyone can help. I'm no stranger to flight sims and can usually land and take off using any plane on any sim. My issue is that I'm a total FSX noob with a kick &@($* PC however, with all the power I have, FSX still looks like crap. Everything is choppy and looks like I'm running it on and ancient system. I'm a huge BF3 gamer and I usually get well over 60FPS on high settings in multiplayer. Can someone please referr me to a site that will help me get the most out of FSX GOLD running on an SLI solution? I know that FSX does not support SLI but I'm hoping that there's a slight chance a tweak or small program may exist that allows FSX to take advantage of SLI Cheers and thanks. March 8, 201313 yr Hi Mate Fill in your profile with your PC specs and your flight sim specs/addons so we know a bit more about what your working with and we can go from there. Have a read over kostas guide, and try out 1 tweak at a time... I like to pick a short test flight from 1 airport to another, in my case Greater London (Biggin hill) suburbs into Heathrow as a short 10 minute test flight, so I make a tweak, then fly the test route and see how it performs, and tweak/fly as needed. If it then performs well flying over central London, landing at Heathrow, then everywhere else should be great. Good choice of systemboard too, very good choice... I love mine and use a triple screen setup, and get nothing less than 24fps smooth performance into London Heathrow in the PMDG NGX with UK2000 Heathrow Extreme :-) But, it did take quite a few test flights to get it nice and smoothly tweaked. March 8, 201313 yr Bufferpools and affinity mask tweaks will be the best for your system Your video card is not that great, I'd get the GTX680 with 4gb memory.
March 8, 201313 yr FSX dosent take advantage of SLI or Crossfire, its CPU dependant and my i7 3820 does a grate job I have onlt the autogen to dense the rest of the sliders are maximum. Try the HIGHMEMFIX=1 and TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096 UNDER [GRAPHICS] MB
