Am I the last FSimmer to have discovered this?

Here is another one, already a long time around.

I think it contains more data.

Hello Folks

I am tempted to try and update these navaids (although I am perfectly happy with how my sim is performing now even with the outdated nav info).By using these update packages am I potentially setting myself up for CTD woes? If I am then I will continue to fly with my highly unreal as it gets but works setup.

Cheers Andy

Yep, can't help but wonder the risk.

Sorry it's been years since I used FSNav, hopefully someone else can help with that.

There are no problems at all with updating navaids. Ensure that your afcads and ils's also comply. Updating is essential if you use the latest airads for constructing flightplans. You may also need to add waypoints etc that don't exist. FS9 Facility Editor.exe

As far as I understand, the update suggested in post #3 replaces the generic scenery files "AP******.bgl", at least in western Europe, making no difference between the FS2004 stock files and already modified ones (many add-ons replace these files with their own modified version...). Is this correct?

I'm a little reluctant to change FS2004 stock files; but having up-to-date navaids should be worth it. As everytime I install something new, I will do into a sandbox first.

Thanks,

Harald
