I'm finished with current 777-for-FSX-developers' attitudes towards the flightsimming community ...

Featured Replies

... so I'm going to - as far as the Boeing 777 is concerned - revert to FS9 for my T7-flying (PSS 777 Professional).

I'm not going to discuss those (two) developers' attitudes (and neither my attitude towards their attitudes) - at least not in THIS thread.

I had put some 60 Euros (read alternatively: some 80 US Dollars) aside for the purchase of a FSX B777. Now this money is going to be invested into some pleasant environment for my PSS 777 in FS9 (scenery-wise, addon airport-wise and the like).

Any suggestions on how I could improve my FS9 to cater for some more atmospheric T7 flights? Thanks in advance for bothering!

Brother I've burned my $90 Canadian as well.  It was a mistake to go with *that* company.  What a complete waste. I've complained so much I just don't care any more.

I still however can not wait for the PM.

Fortunately, I only burned 9.99 (whatever: USD/EUR) with "that" purchase. But I won't go for the "other" T7 development, either.

So ... should I keep my money to myself and download that VOZ 1.8 für my FS9 for free or ...

... is there an option to spend those 60 EUR / 80 USD in a sensible way for my PSS 777 environment in FS9?!?

After spending money recently on the NGX, I am suddenly a lot more interested in the PMDG 777. I suspect that the price will be significantly higher than the NGX, so maybe I can get a few members of my family to contribute when my birthday arrives on July 31

PSS is out of business, they aren't creating any new things, and there isn't much to buy to add to the aircraft.  If you have the money I'd put it towards add-ons like weather or flight planning.

Active Sky I use and Avilasoft EFB etc...

The NGX is flawless for me.  When I think it's doing something wrong, ie: bug, it's always pilot error.  The plane is brilliant, and that's what we hope for the 777.

For the Fs9 777. The PSS 777 is-however- the best 777 system you can find. But Posky is-however- the best 777 model you can find. So combining it should be OK.

Hope that one day someone somebody will do a 777 for Fs9. I'm dreaming for it.

That's all true:

PSS is out of business. Their planes are still sold by JustFlight, for example. I still have my PSS box from former times, including a thoroughly written printed manual, so - no need for me to go for another copy.

I use ASE already, but a decent flight planning tool, in general, or the EFB you mentioned, as a specific addition to those airliners, are really worth considering for me, now.

EDIT: Avilasoft EFB is FSX only. Just for all FS9 simmers to know. Still worth considering for me, since FSX is still my main platform.

And yes: Refraining from buying the PMDG 777 is kind of "olli4740 punishing olli4740" - for what?!?

I guess, there won't be many more top-class, medium-system-depth-at-least airliners for FS9 to come. The latest FS9 release of that kind was, to my knowledge, the iFly NGX (high-end, feature pack included, of course!)

PSS is out of business

Not quite true ... they have reformed as BlackBox Simulation and I purchased my T7 from them. They are in the midst of releasing an A320 for FSX.

Today I agree to all of you ...

Yes, people from PSS are still in business ("from PSS to BBS"). What I heard, too, can't confirm myself, is, one (or two) of those former PSS developers are currently working on one of those 777 developments?!?

What I don't need anymore, since I bought it already:

- Weather engine: ASE is with me.

- ATC: RC4.3 is with me. (PFE alternatively)

- 1st officer/cabin crew simulation: FDC is with me.

- Regions and airports: England, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Spain, Japan and lots of places in the U.S.A.: California, PNW, N.Y., Wash. D.C. (basically all MegaSceneries and -Cities). Australia is covered by freeware VOZ 1.8

Flights for me are NEVER long-distance. I used to employ the T7 pretty much like those Japanese airlines' B747 SP (special performance) - rather "hopping" from one place to another. I chose this way of flying in order to have the full experience from startup 'til shutdown within a rather short period of time. (Sometimes a leg was no more than, say, 300 nm.)

Do you have iFly 737 for Fs9? One of the best plane ever for Fs9

I mentioned it above myself (#9). Yes, I bought it a few months before I changed my main platform to FSX. In FSX, IMO, the PMDG 737NGX is superior to the iFly.

But iFly is the finest airliner development for FS9 that I can think of ...

This is what you'll need to make FS9 look almost as good as FSX:

1. REX Environmental Textures (play around with options until you find what you like)

2. ENB Bloom effect (with this you'll need the brightest sky texture you can find to offset the darkening effect. If need be I'll give you my configuration for use with the latest version of ENB to make sure your setup is looking right)

3. Flight1's Ground Environment (latest version)

4. Zinertek's Water and Airport environment texture packages (there's two)

5. As much airport scenery as you can buy from places like Aerosoft.

This will get you started in the right direction. From there:

1. Ultimate Traffic for FS9

2. GA Traffic freeware

3. WOAI to used in conjunction with Ultimate Traffic (disabling duplicate airlines via Ultimate Traffic's utility)
