B744, MD11 ILS autoland don't allign to the runway again

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I've had this issue several time and I could solve it with Flight1 regrepair tool.

But this time it didn't work.

So I uninstalled the aircrafts and reboot PC and reinstalled them, but no luck.

What can I do?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you positive you ran the Flight1 tool as administrator? Missing registry entries is really the only common way this can happen - you'd have to have your FSX magnetic variation definition file actually get deleted or corrupted otherwise, both of which are unlikely.

Did you install any scenery lately? Sceneries made with the FS9 format can do this sometimes, though F1's registry repair tool can usually fix it (administrator only, if it's not run as admin it won't work).

I'd also suggest running the Magnetic Variation update http://forum.avsim.net/topic/336155-magnetic-variation-updates-for-fs9-and-fsx/

Then Registry repair tool a second time as admin. - Some older FS9 addons with afcads created with some of the older FS9 based scenery tools will change the magnetic variation for a whole area (ie "North America") to the FS9 standard (ie way back to 2003). The mag variation updates this to something more up to date, and then running the registry tool will just double check that all those things are indexed correctly.

Action:

1: Run F1 Registry Repair tool as Administrator.

2: Run Magnetic Variation updater.

3: Run F1 Registry Repair Tool as Administrator again

4: Test flight in area that you have noticed the issue happen.

One easy flight test is to load up at an airport, program the runway in the FMS for departure, and start a takeoff roll, if your ND is still tracking off you will notice as you fly straight down the runway, and the nav display shows your aircraft skidding sideways down the runway.

Thank you for your suggestion, Ryan and hopskip.

I'm sorry for my terrible carelessness.

Running regrepair tool as admin worked.

I'm ashamed of myself for making the childish mistake.
