In CFS3 I only see a blue world with white planes, but NO TEXTURES!

Featured Replies

I installed CFS3 just yesterday and something strange is happening:Although the installation was correct, when I load the sim, everything is light blue and the planes are white. I only see textures in the VC and on the gauges.I tried safe mode. In safe mode some textures appear, but they are awful.I installed the latest video drivers (nVidia 61.77) adn also swithced from DX9.0b to DX9.0c, but nothing happened. My system is:-------------------AMD Athlon XP 2.4+MSI VIA KT400 M/B1.5GB RAM (1GB Kingston Value Ram CL2.5 @ 333 and 512MB OEM RAM CL2.5 @ 333)nVidia GeForce FX5200 128MBSoundBlaster Live! 5.1 Digital PCI + AC97 On BoardI found some posts in the forum from users having EXACTLY the same problem, but with no solution:-((Any help is much appreciated.........Bill Yiannakos

Do you have the basic CFS3 and the updates - http://www.microsoft.com/games/combatfs3/downloads.asp ? Do you have update motherboard (MOBO) controller chip drivers installed, i.e., Intel, VIA, SiS, AMD, ALi, NForce?Run the directx diagnostic, Press Start, Run..., type dxdiag, OK. Let it stabilize, select the Display tab, ensure DirectDraw, Direct3d, and AGP accelerations are enabled. If any are grayed-out, reinstall the MOBO Controller chip drivers. Run the DirectDraw and Direct3D tests and note any errors.Lastly, you may get a better response for CFS3 in the Combat Flight Simulator forum further down the list.W. Sieffert

SieffertYes, I have updated CFS3 to version 3.1a and everything about the graphics and DX is ok. Every other program and game runs flawlesly in my PC. FS9 (my main simulator) runs smoothly enough, as does X-Plane, Falcon, etc etc:-)Only CFS3 has these problems...PS:I'll copy this post to CFS forum..Thanks for the support:-)---------------Bill Yiannakos
