How to asign cameras to a group of aircrafts

Featured Replies

Hello!

I created many VC cameras, to use with PMDG NGX, one for Pilot view, FMC, MCP etc ...

How i can asign these cameras for use only with all NGX aircrafts?

For each camera view you have created for the NGX, you must click on the 'Assign Aircraft To Your Camera View' button, then highlight all the PMDG NGX aircraft (using mouse clicks with the Shift or CTRL keys in the usual Windows fashion), then save your camera views again. Repeat this process for each of your PMDG NGX views. Also make sure you set the Captains view as the only Default, you could even move it to be first in the sequence.

You just use the standard Windows method of holding down the Shift or Ctrl key whilst clicking on the left mouse button. Use the Ctrl key when you want to add or remove a selected item, use the Shift key to select a group of items. Just exactly as you would do using standard text editors etc. Its a very simple procedure, just hold down the keys and try it out.

No one else has reported any Windows 8 issue, are you saying Windows 8 does not use the Ctrl and Shift keys as Windows 7 clearly does? The Assign Aircraft box is a standard Windows multi select box.

Select Items in File List and Navigation Pane

Shift+Arrow Up/Arrow Down - Select multiple adjacent items (directly above or below)

Ctrl with Arrow keys and Space - Select multiple non-adjacent items. Hold ctrl, use arrow keys to move to next item, and press space to add/remove from selection

Ctrl+A Select all A ...Z and 1..9 Press the initial letter any item to jump to it. Continue typing the full name if multiple items start with the same letter

You may also be able to enable a check box selection technique as well to select multiple items from list boxes. Best just Google it and set up your operating system to suit your requirements.

Have you investigated how to change Windows 8 for multi selections. The multi selection boxes have not been made ineffective by the Windows upgrade. Multiple selections are essential, you will have to investigate as indicated above.

What about the Windows 8 check box selection method discussed on the web.

What about this post...

I just found a solution that finally worked for me... and it was almost too

easy! In Explorer, go to Tools > Folder Options and click on the View tab.

Click the Reset Folders button. That's all it took for me to now be able to

select multiple files with my SHIFT and CTRL keys, just like the good old

(pre-Vista) days.

You will have to investigate with your Windows 8 system. How do you select multiple files on your Win 8 system. Have you for touch screen enabled or something like that?

You could check your registry entries...

Does multi selections work in Explorer ?

If not then this post might be the answer...

The solution I found requires editing the registry. You have to start RegEdit and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell, and delete the BagMRU and Bags registry keys. Before you do that, you should close all Windows Explorer windows. If you’re uncomfortable fiddling with the registry, it’s probably a good idea to set a system restore point before you start.

I don’t have the time (or the inclination, truth to be told) to dig in and figure out what Bags and BagMRU do. It seems odd, though, that “certain applications” would be able to cause this behavior, unless they were malicious–deliberately trying to cause grief. Is this a bug in the Vista version of Windows Explorer?

Is the Microsoft site for this problem. Something you should sort out because multi selections are used in many applications and utilities.

I can select multiple items in Explorer without problems selecting with Ctrl + click etc...

It's a fresh install of Windows 8. No update or same, fresh install!

The problem only occurs in Opus.

I have the latest demo.
